ARESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
DO CER?AIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT %DRK IN THE CITY
OF SOUTH BAN FRANCISCO IN THAT PORTION OF THE
INDUSTRIAL AREA OF SAID CITY LYING,GENERALLY
SPEAKING, IN THE VICINITY OF FREEWAY STREET AND
SOUTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD. '
WHEREAS public interest and convenience require that work
and improvements herinafter described should be done; and
WHEREAS,in the opinion of the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco,said comtemplated work and improvements are,
and are hereby declared to be, of more tham local or ordinary public
benefit; and
WHEREAS an estimate of the o~st and expense of said work
has been filed with theCity Clerk of said City;
N0?~, THEREFORE,RESOLVED by t~ City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that it is the intention of said City Council
to order the following work and improvements to be done in said city,
to-wit:
The installation of a sanitary sewerage collection system
in that portion of the industrial area of said city lying,
enerally speking,in the vicinity of Freeway Street and
oUth Airport Bouleva rd.
All the work provided for shall be done in accordance with
the special p~a~a~ profiles, and specificatio~s for said work,and at
the locations and to the grades shown upon said plans,which plans,
profiles,and specifications were adopted by s~id City Council on
the 30th Say of August,1954, and are now on file ~n the office
of the City Clerk of said City.
Reference is hereby made to said plans, profiles, and
specifications for a full description of said work and for the
location and the extent of the work to be done~hs~e~nde~ and for the
grades at which said work is to be done, and for a particular
description of tha boundaries of the district herein mentioned.
S~id City ~ouncil does hereby determine and declare that sa~pro-
posed work an4 improvements are of more t~an local or ordinary
public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and district
hereinafter described., which said district ~s hereby declared to be
the disfrict benefited by said work and improvements and that,there-
fore, the entire cost and expense of said work and improvements shall
be, and hereby are,made chargeable against,and shall be assessed
upon, said lands and district, except as hereinafter expressly pro-
vided, which district is within the. City of ~°uth San Francisco,
County of San ~[ateo, State of California, and particularly dewcribed
as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING AT THE ~outheasterly corner of the Round C~lifornia
Chain Company property, which is Parcel 43,Zone J, as shown
on the Official Map of the City of South San F~ancis~o date~
March,1953;thence along the southerly line of s~id Parcel
~3~So~ 74° 48'11" West 647.52 feet; thence North 78 21'
~est.'600 feet,more or less, to the w~sterly line of San Bruno
Road,~1450 feet,more or less, to the southeasterly line o~
t~e South$~n Pag~fic Railroad Company r~ght-of way;thence
along samG southeasterly line North 32° 56' 40" East 300 feet,
more or less, to its intersection with the southeasterly line
of the South San Francisco Belt Railway right-of-way, a~ shown
on said ~fficial Map of the City of South San ~rancisco,thence
along the southeasterly and southerly lines of sai~ South San
Francisco $elt Railway's right-of -way,northeasterly along a
curve to the right with a radius of 574 19 feet,a distance of
520 feet~more or less, and North 89° 55; 28" East 380 feet
more or less to the easterly line of Bayshore Freeway as shown
on said Official Map;thence along said easterly l~ne of Bay-
shore Freeway South 6° 19' 32" East 396.39 feet, southeasterly
along a curve to the left tangent to_the proceeding course an
arc distance of 45.02 feet, South 57° 54'32" ~ast296.57 feet,
South 31° 3~' 40" West 25.13 feet and South 0 00' 30" East
1230 feet,more or less,to the northeasterly line of South Bay-
shore Highway ( now known as Airport Boulevard) aS shown on
said map; thence East 220 feet; thence South 37° 30~ East 1340
feet,more or less, to ~enorthwesterly bank of a slough; thence
southwesterly along said northwesterly bank 500 feet,more or
less, to the northeasterly line of Airpor~ Boulevard; thenge
along said northeasterly line of Airport ~oulevard ~outh 25°
27" East 1200 feet,more or less,to the southeasterly bamk of
a slough; thence al'brig said southeasterly bank of the sl&ugh
northeasterly 640 feet, more or less, to the northerly line of
Parcel 77,Zone I, as shown on said Official Map of the City
of South San Francisco; thence along said northerly line of
Parcel 77 North 80~ 57' East 250 feet,more or less, to a
point lying 800 feet northeasterly at right angles from the.
northeasterly line of Airport Boulevard; thence South 25o~
27' East 870 feet,mo~e or less, to the southerly line of
said Parcel 77; tSence westerly along said southerly line 860
feet,more or less, to the northeasterly line of Airport
~ou!evard; thence westerly across Airport Boulevard' 140C~fe~t,
more or less, to the southeasterly corner of Parcel 75, Zone
J, as shown on said Official Map of the City of S~outhSan
Francisco; thence westerly, along the southerly line ~f Parcel
75 and its prolongation wester~y,ll$O feet, more or less, to
the easterly line of Bayshore ~reeway; thence northerly along

the easterly line of Bayshore reeway 2600 feet,more or
less, to the northwesterly corner of Parcel 74,Zone J,as
shown on said Official Map; thence $orthwesterly acroes Bay-
shore Freeway 230 feet,more or less, to the point of be-
ginning.

Excepting all public street~,avenues, thomoughfares, courts,
lanes, and alleys included and contained in said district.
Notice is here~y given that serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments,and to bear interest at the rate of five percent (5%) per
annum, w~ll be issued hereunder in the manner provided by Division l0
of the Streets and Highways Code, in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915,
and the last installment of such bonds shall mature fourteen(14)
years from the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten(10) months from
their date.
The South San Francisco Enterpri~e-Journal,a newspaper of
general circulation, printed ~nd~p~l~h~d~i~a~td~ty of South San
Francisco, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which th~ resolu-
tion of intention shall be published, and the city clerk is hereby
directed to caMse th~s resolution to be published by two(2) in-
sertions in the manner and form required by law.
Said City Clerk is also directed to mail a notice of the
adoption of said resolution of intenti~in, postage prepaid, to all
persons owning property which is proposed to be assessed to pay any
part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses appear on
the last equalized assessment roll, or as known to said city clerk.
The Director of Public ~orks, as ex-officio superintendent
of streets, shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of
s~id contemplated~work or improvement, and not more than three
hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three(3) in
all, and along the open streets within said district at not more
than three'hundred (300) feet in distance apart ~n each said street,
notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner
and form ~equired by the Improvement Ac~ of 1911.
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 20th day of September,
in the Council Chamber of Said
1954, at the hour of 8:00 o,clock P.M.,
City Council of the City of South San Francisco, any and all persons
having i any objections to the proposed work and improvements roSY
appear bef~e~the said City Council and show cause why said proposed work ~. in accordance
and improvement should not be carried out/with this resolution.
Except as hereinbefore provided, all the he~in proposed
work shall be done pursuant to an act of the Legislature of the State
of California designated as .Improvement Act of 1911".
I hereby certify that the foregoing reeolution
of intention was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
at an adjourned meeting hhereof held on.the 30th day
of August,iS54, by the following v~te:
