~ Mr. Eschelbaeh was, for more than fifty years last past, a resident of the City of South
San Francisco; a~l
~ at the general municipal election held in the City of South San Francisco iu the ~o~th of
April, 1918, the people of said City d/d elect A. J. ESC~ELBACH to the office of City C~ilze~a, to which
office he was re-elect~l a msaber of ti~es and in Which he contin~e~ to serve without interruption until the
month of April, 1930, a~l to which he was a~ain re-electe~ in the month of April, 19~6, and in which he con-
tinued to serve until the month of April, 19~0; and
~ while a City Councilman of the City of South San Francisco, said A. J. ~.~CH ~s
appointed, and served as, the May~r of said City of the period ccemencing with the 31st d~y of May, 1927
and terminating on the 21st ~ay of April, 1930 and again, while a City Councilman of said City, was
appointe~, and served as, the Mayor of said City for the two-year period commencing on the 18th d~y of
April, 19~8 and terminating on the l~th ~ay of April;. 19~0; and
the
~ ssi. d.A.J. E~C~.~CH, as a loyal and faithful public servant, contributed greatly, by
untiring effS~i;'~b-~l~-~ and ~_-~.rovement of the city of South San Francisco, which made tremendous
progress during his several terms of office,
