A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO CORRECTING CERTAIN CLERICAL ERRORS IN THE
ASSESSMENT ROLL AS ADOPTED BY SAID CITY COUNCIL FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 1954-1955
WHEREAS certain clerical errors have appeared with respect to the assessment roll
as approved and adopted by the City Council for the fiscal year 1954-1955; and
WHEREAS such errors and omissions should be corrected by the making of certain
adjustments to said assessment roll,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the assessment roll as heretofore adopted by said City for the fiscal year
1954-1955 be corrected as follows:
1. With respect to Bill No. 2660 (Elsie Hasard, Lot 14, Block 5 High School
Park Terrace #1): Through error was assessed as owning personal property against which a
tax was assessed in the amount of $3.57. No such personal property is owned by taxpayer.
Because tax was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the
amount of $3.57.
2. With respect to Bill No. 3882 (Katherine Shevick, 548 So. Helen Avenue,
Ukiah, California): Through error was assessed as owning personal property against which a
tax was assessed in the amount of $3.57. No such personal property is owned by taxpayer.
Because tax was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the amount
of $3.57.
3. With respect to Bill No. 4003 (George List, 481 Diamond Street, San Francisco):
Through error was assessed as owning personal property against which a tax was assessed in the
amount of $3.82. No such personal property is owned by taxpayer. Because tax was already
paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the amount of $3.82.
4. With respect to Bill No. 418 (Henry Beretta): Through error was charged for a
sewer rental in the amount of $7.50. Because rental was already paid, a refund is to be
ordered paid to said property owner in the amount of $7.50. '
5. With respect to Bill No. 4924 (Maria Eserini, 328 - 6th Lane, South San
Francisco): Through error was charged for a sewer rental in the amount of $7.50. Because
rental was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said property owner in the
amount of $7.50.
6. With respect to Bill No. 70 (P. Uccelli): Through error was charged for
(6) sewer rentals in the amount of $45.00, whereas it should have been four (4) sewer
rentals in the amount of $30.00. Because rental was already paid, a refund is to be
ordered paid to said property owner in the amount of $15.00.
7. With respect to Bill No. 212 (Emilio Cortesi and Adolph Sani, South San
Francisco, California): Through error were charged with sewer rentals in the amount of
$24.00. The charge of $24.00 designated in said bill should be cancelled.
8. With respect to Bill No. 465 (South San Francisco Unified School District,
a public body): Through error was charged with a penalty in the amount of $2.41. The
penalty charge of $2.41 designated in said bill should be cancelled.
9. With respect to Bill No. 3763 (Chris Ramos, 113 Gardiner Avenue, South San
Francisco, California): Assessed for personal property in'the amount of $1,385.00, whereas
the assessed value should be $120.00. Said taxpayer is entitled to a refund in the
amount of $21.00 and because said tax was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid
to said taxpayer in the amount of $21.00.
10. With respect to Bill No. 4111 (F. Calegari, South San Francisco, California):
Through error assessed as the owner of personal property having an assessed value of
$2,225.00. Said tax bill should be corrected to show the taxpayer the owner of no
personal property, and because a tax in the amount of $36.93 was already paid, a refund
is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the amount of $36.93.
11. With respect to Bill No. 3939 (Sadie M. Beare, South San Francisco, California):
To be corrected to show real estate in the assessed value of $3,000.00 rather than $3,600. Q0
Because the tax was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the
amount of $9.96.
12. With respect to Bill No. 7281 (William Ridenour, 932 E1Camino Real, South
San Francisco, California; Lots 21 and 23, Block 1 Town of Baden): To be corrected to
show real estate in the assessed value of $600.00 rather than $700.00. Because the tax'
was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the amount of $1.66.
13. With respect to Bill No. 7282 (William Ridenour, 932 E1Camino Real, South
San Francisco, California; Lot 25-44, inclusive, Block 1, Town of Baden): TO be corrected
to show real estate in the assessed value of $2,400.00 rather than $3,750.00. Because
the tax was already paid, a refund is to be ordered paid to said taxpayer in the amount of $22.41.
The City Clerk of said City, as the ex-officio Assessor thereof, is hereby
instructed to make the above-designated corrections to the official Assessment Roll for the
fiscal year 1954-1955, and said City Clerk is further instructed to pay over to the persons
entitled thereto all refunds as indicated.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned regular
meeting held this 23rd day of May, 1955, by the following vote:
