A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS
UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~ SlID
TERRITORY TO BE KNO~rN AS "KIISKI ADDITION".
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has received a written petition
to annex the hereinafter-described real property to said City of South San Francisco as uninhabited
territOry:
All that certain property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California,
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which lies North 31° 15' West 472.00 feet from the most
northerly corner of Lot 3 in Block Lettered "G", as said lot and block are shown
on "Map No. 1 Country Club Park", filed in the office of the Recorder of the
County of San Mateo, in ~ 23 of Maps at pages 54-55 and 56; which said
point of beginning is the southeasterly corner of the parcel of land
described in the deed to Jack C. and Mildred E. Horner recorded October 28, 1944
in Volume 1152 of Official Records of San Mateo County at Page 46 (30110F);
and is also the northerly corner of Lot 1, Block 1, as shown on that certain
map entitled "Avalon Park" recorded July 7, 1949 in Volume 30 of Maps at
pages 32, 33 and 34 San Mateo County Records; thence along the southerly lin~
of said Avalon Park, which said line is also the common boundary line between
the City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo, South 59° 00'
West' 52.55 feet; and South 86° 20' West 15.92 feet; thence leaving said City
boundary line, nor~asterly along a curve to the right with a radius of 230
f~e~ f~om a radial line bearing North 56° 39' '54" West~ an arc distance of
6~:85 ~t to the northeasterly line of said Horner parcel of land; thence
along said northeasterly line North 31° 17' 40" West (given as North 31° 15'
West in said deed) 384.08 feet to the southeasterly line of lands now or
formerly owned by the California Golf Club of San Francisco; thence along
said last.mentioned line North 55° 07' 30" East 162.70 feet; thence leaving said
line South 31° 55' 45" East 422.77 feet to said boundary, line between the
City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo; thence along said
boundary line South 59° 00' West 167.39 feet to the point of beginning,
and,
and,
WHEREAS the territory hereinbefore described is in fact uninhabited territory;
WHEREAS said City Council has found, and does hereby find, that~_etitioners Paul Kiiskt
and Senia Marie Kiiski, his wife, are the owners of more than one-fourth (~bf the assessed value
of said land, according to the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo; and
~EREAS the Boundary Commission of the County of San Mateo has certified to the definiteness
and certainty of the boundaries of said property proposed to be annexed~
*of said Horner parcel and the northerly line
**of the area of the land hereinbefore described and represent more than one-fourth (~)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
said City Council hereby designates the territory he~einbefore described as "KIISKI ADDITIOn' for
the purposes of identification.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Monday,
the 11th day of July, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall
in said City of South San Francisco be, and the same are, fixed as the time and place when and where
any person or persons ~ real property within the territory hereinbefore described and so proposed
to be annexed, and having any objection to the proposed annexation of said territory may appear before
said City Council and show cause why said territory should not be annexed.
The City Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resolution to be published once a
week for two (2) consecutive weeks in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general
circulation published in said City of South San Francisco, and likewise for two (2) consecutive weeks
in the Advance-Star, a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of San Mateo, but
elsewhere than in the City of South San Francisco, both of said publications to be completed at least
.... twenty (20) days prior to the date of the hearing provided for in the paragraph next above.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced, and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 6th day of June, 1955,
by the following vote:
