A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCEL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO PERFORM THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION NO. 2192.
WHEREAS'the Director of Public Works of the City of South San Francisco did, on the
30th day of AuguSt, 1955, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed bids and proposals for
the doing of the Work and improvement, and for the furnishing of all materials, labor, and
equipment necessary for the doing of said work and improvement, in said city, described in
Resolution of Intention No. 2192 of the City Council of said city, adopted on the 1st day of
August, 1955, wRich Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for a description
of said work and improvement and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under said
Resolution of Intention; and
~IEREAS the Director of Public Works of said city did prepare a written analysis and
report with respect to said bids and submitted the same to the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco at its regular meeting on the 6th day of September, 1955, for said City
Council's consideration in connection w~h the award of said contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that said City Council hereby rejects all of said
proposals or bids except that herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said
work and making said improvement and for the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment
necessary for the doing of said work or improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit,
ASSOCIATED PIPELINE COMPANY, at the prices named in its bid on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said award twice in the SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby
designated for that purpose by said City Council.
I hereby certify that the foreg~ing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the 6th day of
September, 1955, by the following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Telford Smith.
NOES, ' None
ABSENT, ' Richard Gamlen
