RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2237
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO DO CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT WORK IN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO IN THE AIRPORT BOULEVARD INDUSTRIAL
TRACT.
WBEREAS public interest and convenience require that work and improvements hereinafter
discribed should be done; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, said
contemplated work and improvement are, and are hereby declared to be, of more than local or
ordinary public benefit; and
WHHREAS an estimate of the cost and expense of said work has been filed with the City
Clerk of said City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that it is the intention of said City Council to order the following work and improvements
to be done in said City, to-wit:
The improvement of a public street within the Airport Boulevard Industrial Tract
and the westerly side of Airport Boulevard adjacent to said tract by grading,
paving, installing curb and gutter, sidewalks where required, sanitary sewers,
and storm drains; the relocation of a portion of an existing sewage force main;
the construction of a reinforced concrete pipe culvert across Airport Boulevard
adjacent to the most northerly corner of said Airport Boulevard Industrial Tract,
and the excavation of a drainage channel northerly of the northerly line and the
easterly prolongation of the ~ortherly line of said tract from an existing channel
at the westerly end of said tract to an existing channel essterly of Bayshore
Highway.
All the work provided for shall be done in accordance with the special plans, profiles,
and specifications for said work, and at the locations and to the grades shown upon said plans,
which plans, profiles, and specifications were adopted by said City Council on the 19th day
of September, 1955, and are now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
Reference is hereby made to said plans, profiles, and specifications for a full description
of said work and for the location and the extent of the work to be done hereunder and for the
grades at which said work is to be done, and for a particular description of the boundaries
of the district herein mentioned. Said City Council does hereby determine and declare that
said proposed work and improvement are of more than local or ordinary public benefit and will
affect and benefit the lands and district hereinafter described, which said district'~s
hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and improvement, and that, therefore,
the entire cost and expense of said work and improvement shall be, and l~reby are, made
chargeable against, and shall be assessed upon, said lands and district, except as hereinafter
expressly provided, which district is particularly described as follows, to-wit:
All that certain real property situated in the City of South San Francisco, County of
San Mateo, State of California, described as follows:
All those Portions of Tide Land Lots 22, 23 and 24 in Section 27, Township 3 South,
Range 5 West, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, more particularly d~scribed as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the southerly line of said Tide LOt 24, distant thereon
North 89o 57' 30" East 33.20 feet from the easterly line of that certain 7.596
acre parcel of land described in Parcel One of the Deed from South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company to Pacific Gas and Electric Company, dated April 3,
1925 and recorded February 26, 1926 in Book 210 of Official Records of San Mateo
County at page 107 (54968-A~, said point being the southeasterly corner of the lands
described in the Deed from South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company to
Pacific Gas and Electric Company, dated February 5, 1947 and recorded March 13,
1947 in Book 1338 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 71 (54926-G)'
thence from said point of beginning along the northeasterly line of the last
mentioned lands described in the Deed to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company
(54926-G), North 7o 58' West 242.57 feet to the aforementioned easterly line of
the 7.596 acre parcel of land of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company first above
mentioned (54958-A); thence along said easterly line, North OO 06' West* 17.04
feet; thence North 54° 25' 50" East 515.74 feet to the southwesterly line of the
Bayshore Highway, as established by the Deed from the South San Francisco Land
and Improvement Company to the State of California dated October 11, 1926 and
recorded December 2, 1926 in Book 267 of Official Records of San Mateo County at
page 348 (73942-A); thence along said southwesterly line of the Bayshore Highway,
South 25o 31' East 1260.21 feet to the southerly line of said Tide Lot 22; thence
along the southerly lines of said Tide Lots 22, 23 and 24, South 89° 57' 30"
West 944.20 feet to the point of beginning; said Tide Land Lots are shown on
the map entitled "Map No. 1 of The Salt Marsh and Tide Lands Situate in the
County of San Mateo, State of California, Prepared by Order of the Board of
Tide Land Commissioners by the Act of 1870."
EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion thereof lying within San Bruno S16ugh.
Excepting ail public streets, avenues, thoroughfares, courts, lanes, and alleys included
and contained in said district.
Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and to bear
interest at the rate of five per cent (5%) per annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner
provided by Division 10 of the Streets and Highway Code, in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915,
and the last installment of such bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the 2d day of
July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.

The South San Francisco Enterprise~Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, printed
and published in said City of South San Francisco, is hereby designated as the newspaper in
which this resolution of intention shall be published, and the City Clerk is hereby directed
to cause this resolution to be published by two (2) insertions in the manner and form required
by law.
Said City Clerk is also directed to mail a notice of the adoption of said resolution, of
intention, postage prepaid,.to all persons owning property which is proposed to be assessed
to pay any part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized
assessment ro11, or as known to said City Clerk.
The Director of Public Works, as ex-officio Superintendent of Streets, shall cause to
be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work of improvement, and not more
than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in a11, and along
all the open streets within said district'at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance
apart on each said street, notices of the'passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner
and form required by the Improvement Act of 1911.
Notice is hereby given that on ~onday, the 3rd day of October, 1955, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of said City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements may appear
before said City Council and show cause why said proposed work and improvement should not be
carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Notice is also hereby given that the owners of all the property lying within the proposed
assessment district have signed, and filed with the City Clerk, a writing whereby they have
waived the period of time required by said Improvement Act of 1911 to elapse between the
posting, publishing, and mailing of this resolution of intention and the public hearing herein
provided for. Further, each and every one of said property owners have waived all notices of
said public hearing and all other notices required by said Improvement Act of 1911.
Except as hereinbefore provided, all the herein proposed work shall be done pursuant to
an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as the "Improvement Act of
1911."
I hereby Certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting thereof held on the
19th day of September, ~55, by the following vote:
