HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2251-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2251 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE A WAIVER OF PROVISIONS' OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION, AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF MISSION ROAD FROM CHESTNUT AVENUE TO THE NORTHERN LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CHESTNUT AVENUE BETWEEN COMMERCIAL AVENUE AND EL CAMINO REAL, IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires that Mission Road from Chestnut Avenue to the aorthern limits of said City, and Chestnut Avenue between Commercial Avenue and E1 Camino Real in said City, be improved; and WHEREAS a Petition Waiving the Provisions of the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act was circulated and signed by a number of the property owners within the district designated as the district to be benefited by the aforesaid street improvements; and WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco is now, and prior to and ever since the 12th day of April~1955 has been, the fee title owner of a parcel of property lying within the aforesaid district; and WHEREAS it was the intention of said City Council to authorize the execution of the aforesaid Waiver on behalf of said City as the owner of said parcel of property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk of said City be, and they hereby are, authorized to execute on behalf of said City the aforesaid Waiver and Petition, which is dated April 12,~ 1955. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said signatures shall be regarded as having been appended to said Waiver and Petition prior to the 1st day of August, 1955, and that said signatures shall have the same force and effect as if they had been appended to said Waiver and Petition prior to said date. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adoped by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 3rd day of October, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen: Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen, Telford Smith.
