RESOLUTION DIRECTING SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE CITY ENGINEER IN RE
PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1955-1 OF TEE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO TO
FILE ANAMENDED REPORT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2165 duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco, at its regular meeting held ou the 20th day of June, 1955, J. E. Peck was appointed
special assistant to the City Engineer and Director or.Public Works of the City of South San Francisco, in
connection with the formation of Parking District No. 1955-1 of the City of South San Francisco, and directed
to perform all work requisite to the making of the report conforming to the provisions of Section 35257 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California by this City Couucil ordered made and filed by the City
Engineer under its Resolution No. 2140 duly passed and adopted by this City Council at a reSular meeting thereof
held on the 25th day of April~ 1955; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said appointment and direction, said J. E. Peck did heretofore file with
the Clerk of the City of South San Francisco and this City Council his preliminary report under date of
October 10, 1955, in respect to said South San Francisco Parking District No. 1955-1; and,
WHEREAS, it appears from said preliminary report that the same does not conform to the
requirements of Section 35257 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved and ordered that s~td J. E. Peck, as special assistant to
the City Engineer and Director of Public Works of said city, make and file with this City Council a report showing
the following: '
An estimate of the cost of the acquisitions and improvements proposed
by the petition and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith
and of the proceedings therefor.
(b)
An estimate of the annual revenues which can be expected to be derived
from the operation of the proposed parking places, and of the annual
expeuses~ of operating and maintaining the parking places exclusive of
principal and interest ou the bonds to be issued.
(c)
An estimate of the annual net revenues which can be expected to be
derived from the parking meters, the revenues from which are by the
petition proposed to be pledged to pay the principal and interest of
the bonds.
(d) The total assessed value of the real property within the proposed
district as shown on the last equalized assessment roll.
WHEREAS, it further appears to this City Council from said preliminary report dated October 10,
1955 that it may become necessary for this City Couucil to alter the boundaries of the proposed district as it
finds to be proper and advisable, and to increase, decrease, change or otherwise modify the acquisitions or
improvements to be made;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that said J. E. Peck as such special assistant to the City
Engineer and Director of Public Works of the City of South San Francisco, under the supervision and direction
of the City Engineer and Director of Public Works, make and file with this City Council a supplemental report
showing the following:
An estimate of the cost of the acquisitions and improvements proposed
by the petition and of the incidental expenses in connection there-
with and of the proceedings therefor, eliminating therefrom the cost of
the acquisition of Parking Lots A and C, respectively, and Public Ways
i and 2, respectively, as the same are described in the petition,
together with the improvements proposed to be constructed thereon and
of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, but providing for
Public Way No. 3 leading from Grand Avenue to Third Lame on the easterly
25 feet of Lot 23 in Block 124 to service Parking Lots E and F.
(b)
An estimate of the annual revenues which can be expected to be derived
from the operation of the proposed parking places, other than said
Lots A and C, and of the annual expenses of operating and maintaining
the parking places, other than said Lots A and C exclusive of principal
and interest on the bonds to be issued.
An estimate of the annual net revenues which can be expected to be
derived from the parking meters, the revenues from which are by the
petition proposed to be pledged to pay the principal and interest of
the bonds.
Be it further resolved that in said supplemental report, said J. E. Peck further make and file
with this City Council an estimate of the cost of improving in the manner as proposed by the petition for the
improvement of Parking Lots B, B, E aD21 F, and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith of those two (2)
certain parcels of laud presently owned by the City of South San Francisco, being Lots 4 and 5 in Block 126 and
Lots 12 and 13 iu Block 126, together with au estimate of the annual net revenues which can be expected to be
derived from the operation of said two parcels as parking lots and of the annual expenses of operating and
maintaining the same exclusive of principal and interest on the bonds to be issued.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of December, 1955.
