A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF SAN ~ATEO TO CANCEL REAL PROPERTY TAXES ASSESSED
AGAINST CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO LAND AND II/PROVEMENT COI/PANY ~HICH IS USED BY
SAID CITY FOR THE PURPOSES OF AGARBAGE DUI/P.
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of January, 1951, the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco adopted and passed Resolution No. 1624, which resolution authorized the
execution of an agreement between said City and the South San Francisco Land and Improvement
Company for purposes of using the hereinafter described land owned by said South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company for a public garbage dump; and
WHEREAS, according to the~'terms of said agreement, said City has guaranteed
to be responsible for all taxes and assessments levied against the hereinafter-described real
property; and
WHEREAS San Mateo County and School District real property taxes for the
fiscal year 1955-1956 became a lien upon said real property; and
WHEREAS, because such property is being used for public purposes, as aforesaid,
it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of South San Francisco and of the citizens and
taxpayers thereof that said real property taxes, together with any and all accrued penalties and
interest, should be cancelled in full,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City ~ouncil of the City of South San
Francisco that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo be, and it hereby is, requested to
cancel all real property taxes, together with any and all accrued penalties and interest, levied
against said real property, which is situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo,
State of California, and is particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears South 86° 38' 07" East
45.00 feet from survey line Station "A' 10~00, as said
survey line is described in Parcel One of that certain
Deed dated December 8, 1928 in Volume 384 of Official
Records of San Mateo County at Page 289; thence along an
arc of a curve to the left with a radius of 555.26 feet,
a distance of 169.23 feet (the radial line of the curve
at the point of beginning bears N 86° 38' 07" West);
thence South 84° 03' 30" West 60.02 feet; thence South
42° 26' West 199.16 feet; thence South 53° 52' 30" West
192.29 feet; thence South 86° 58' West 200.38 feet;
thence South 27o 12' 3~' West 200.46 feet; thence
South 4° 33' 30" West 135.72 feet; thence South 50° 30'
East 390.77 feet; thence North 27° 31' East 198.48
feet; thence North 44° 09' 30" East 160.82 feet; thence
North 18° 50' East 122 feet; thence North 47° 15' East
170 feet; thence North 16° 28' East 182.87 feet; thence
North 86° 38' 07" West 51.37 feet to the point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of said City be, and he hereby is,
instructed to notify said Board of Supervisors and the Assessor of said County of S~n Mateo in the
event of a cessation or termination of the use of the aforedescribed real property for public or
municipal purposes.
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that said Board of Supervisors be, and it hereby is,
requested to direct the Assessor of said County of San Mateo to remove said real property from the
official tax and assessment rolls of said County until such time as said City ceases to use said
real property ~or public or municipal purposes. In this connection, the City Clerk is hereby
instructed to forward to said Board of Supervisors a certified copy of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
~__adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 6th
day of February 1956, by the following vote:
