A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTh! SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
SO ZONE THE MAZANTI PROPERTY AS TO PROVIDE FOR
ITS HIGHEST ADAPTABLE USE, BUT AT THE SAME TIME
TO CLASSIFY IT OTHER THAN "R-i", "PCM", OR "M".
WHEREAS considerable controversy has revolved about the question of the
proper classification to be given to the Mazzanti Property, a certain three (3) acre Rarcel
of real property lying immediately to the west of the Orange Avenue City Park, but between
Colma Creek Canal and the old Market Street Railway RiEht-of-Way; and
WHEREAS it is deemed in the best interests of PETER MAZZANTI, the owner of
said Property, and of the City of South San Francisco and all its residents~and property owners
that said property should be given a zoning classification other than "R-l", "PCM", OR "M"; and
~EREAS it is the desire of the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco to so classify said property as to provide for its highest adaptable use,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that, in keepin~ with
the premises hereto, a study of said "Mazzanti Property" shall be made without delay forthe
purpose of ascertaining the highest adaptable use for said Property. In that connection,
the views and opinions of said PETER MAZZANTI and his duly authorized representives and agents
shall be given full consideration. ~urther, if, in order to arrive at the proper zoning
classification, it shall appear advisable to engage the services of expert planning consultsnts,
said City shall do so, all at its own expense.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as soon as the highest ~daptable use for said
"Mazzanti Property" is ascertained, said ~City Council shall institute forthwith the proper
steps to give to said property a zoning classification in keeping with said highest adaptable
use.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resol~tion was regular].y introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meetin~ held this
7th day of May 1956, by the following vote:
