SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Regular Meeting
January 5, 1983
TIME: 7:00 p.m.
PLACE: Community Room, Municipal Services Building
CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Roberta Cerri Teglia called the South San Francisco Redevelop-
ment Meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Chairman Roberta Cerri Teglia, Vice Chairman Mark N. Addiego;
Members Ronald G. Acosta, Emanuele N. Damonte, Gus Nicolopulos
Also present: Executive Director/Secretary C. Walter Birkelo; Assistant
Secretary Louis Dell'An§ela; Director of Public Services Robert
Yee; Treasurer Barry Lipton; City Attorney Robert Rogers;
Mr. Ronald Hope, Homart Development Company
AGENDA REVIEW: Executive Director Birkelo requested that the Board consider, under
Approval of Bills, one more claim in the amount of $2,023.17 to Herman
H. Fitzgerald, Attorney for.the Agency, for services rendered during
September and October, 1982 He also requested that the Agency Board
hold a Closed Session for discussion of a property negotiation matter
after Good and Welfare.
As there were no objections, Chairman Teglia so ordered.
APPROVAL OF Vice Chairman Addiego moved, seconded by Member Damonte, that the Minutes
MINUTES: of the Regular Meeting of December 15, 1982, be approved. Motion, as
made and seconded, was unanimously approved.
APPROVAL OF BILLS: Member Damonte moved, seconded by Vice Chairman Addiego, that the claims,
as submitted for payment and the additional claim of Herman Fitzgerald
in the amount of $2,023.17, be approved. Motion, as made and seconded,
was unanimously approved.
SUPPLEMENT NO. 3 Director of Public Services Yee recalled the earlier discussions re-
TO AGREEMENT WITH garding the contract with CH2M Hill for the East Grand Avenue Grade
CH2M HILL - EAST Separation project; and at that time, he indicated that he would come
GRAND AVE. GRADE back with an agreement to cover the portion of the inspection necessary
SEPARATION in Japan. He explained the proposal of CH2M Hill to retain Pittsburgh
Testing Laboratory to perform the inspection. He explained that since
this firm has personnel in Japan, the cost will be substantially lower
that anticipated.
SUPPLEMENT NO. 3 Director of Public Services Yee responded to the Board's inquiry con-
~"~ntinued) cerning the assembling of the bridge in Japan. He stated that the
bridge would be constructed in Japan, inspected for integri~, taken
apart, and reassembled in South San Francisco. He further stated that
Caltrans was also involved in this project and approved of the firm of
Pittsburgh Testing Laboratory.
RESOLUTION NO. 39 Vice Chairman Addiego moved, seconded by Member Damonte that the Reso-

Noes, none. Absent, none.
GOOD AND WELFARE: Chairman Teglia asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak con-
cerning matters of redevelopment. No one spoke.
CLOSED SESSION The Board absented itself fora Closed Session at 7:20 p.m.
RECONVENED The Redevelopment Board reconvened at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Teglia stated
that the Board'ha~received information concerning proper~ negotiations,
and no action has been taken.
ADJOURNMENT: Member'Acosta moved, seconded by Member Damonte, that the meeting be
adjourned. Motion, as made and seconded, was unanimously approved.
