A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY_ OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO REQUITING FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
OFFICE OF CIVIL DEF~ISE, FOR EXPENDITURES FOR RESTORATION OF
STORM DRAINAGE F~CILITI~ DAMAGED BY FLOOD.
P~EAS the City of South San Francisco has expended approximately the sum
of FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND FIFTY-FOUR DOLLARS (.$45,054.00) to protect and restore municipally
owned storm drainage facilities and other municipally o~ned property recently damaged by
the f~d conditions caused by excessive r~m-®ff of storm waters; a~d

therefor was made in the annual budget for said City, and because said City has no other
funds available for such purpose, a serious hardship will result to said City unless it
obtains reinbursement for the expenditures so made for restoration work; and
I~REAS ~Aid ~ity has not received reimbursement for the above-mentioned
expenditures from any source whatsoever, Federal, State, or otherwise; and
I~{EREAS, by statutory enactment, the State ef California has made provision,
through its Office ef Civil Defense, for reimbursing municipalities and other local govern-
ments for expenses incurred as a result ef floods and other disasters,
NO~, THEY~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B~ ~H~ City Council of said City that said
City shall, and it hereby does, request that the State sf California, through its Office ef
Civil Defense, make reimbursement to said City for the emergency expenditures made f~ restor-
ing municipally owned storm drainage facilities and other municipally owned property damaged
by floods, as aforesaid. In this connection, the Director of Public Works is hereby directe~
to make, on behalf of said City, an application te the State of CslifornJ.a, Office of Civil.
D~fense, for reimbursement for such expenditures, as the same shall be definitely ~scertained.
A certified copy of this resolution shall accompany such anplication.
