A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCIS CO A],~ARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A SANITARY S~ER ON BFLLE AIR ROAD IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
%~ERFAS, by and with the prior consent and authority of the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, the Director of Public Works of said City did, on the 25th day of June 1956, at
the hour of 2:30 o'clock P. M., duly open, examine, and declsre all sealed proposals for the construction
of a sanitary sewer on Belle Air Road in the City of South San Francisco, in accordance with the plans
and specifications heretofore approved 8nd adopted by said City Council, and which are now on file with
the Clerk of said City, toKether with the furnishing of all necessary materials and labor in connection
with said work of construction; and
~{HEREAS said Director of Public ~orks has reported that the bid of THE FAY IMPROVEMENT
CO., a corporation, in the total amount of FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDEED T~LENTY-SI~ and AA/lOOths DOLLARS
($5,326.~) is the lowest and best bid submitted for the performance of said work, and has recommended
to said City Council the acceptance thereof; and
?~E~EAS said City Council has examined all said bids and found the report of said
Director of Public Works to be true and correct,
New, therefore, be it resolved by said City Council that the report and recommendations
of the Director of Public Werks be accepted; that all said bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned,
be, and the same hereby are, rejected; and that said City Council does hereby award the contract for
said work to said THE FAY IMPROVEMENT CO., a corporation, at the price named in its bid.
The Mayer and the City Clerk are hereby instructed to execute, on behalf of said City,
the contract for the performance of said work by said successful bidder.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 2nd day of July 1956,
by the following vote:
