A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DETERMINING THAT, IN THE
PUBLIC INTEREST, SAID CITY SHOULD CONTRIBUTE A
S~M OF MONA"f~ TOWARDS PAYmeNT OF A PORTION OF
COST OF IMPROVING ~SSSION ROAD %~THIN qHE MISSION
ROAD AND CHESTNUT AVENUE IMPROVE~.NT DISTRICT, AS
ESTABLISHED UNDM{ RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 218~,
ADOPTED ON THE 1ST DAY OF .AUGIBT 1955.
%~tEREAS, that portion of the public improvement work ordered to be performed pursuant
to the provisions of Resolution of Intention No. 218&, adopted by the City Council of the City of So~h
San Francisco on the 1st day of August 1955, and related resolutions, consisting of the improvement
of Mission Road, was of such an extent and'nature as to be more than local insofar as the benefits
deriving therefrom are concerned, in that, said Mission Road has been so widened and otherwise im-
proved as to become a boulevard rather than to be a local street only; and
%~{EREAS the Director of Public Works of said City has determined that the increased
cost of so improving said Mission Road as to transform it into a boulevard is Eleven Thousand Six
Hundred Fifteen and &7/lOOths Dollars ($11,615.~7); and
~tEREAS said City of South San Francisco has available, in appropriate funds, sufficient
moneys to contribute said sum of Eleven Thousand six Hundred Fifteen and &7/lOOths Dollars ($11,615.&7)
to the cost of the improvement of said Mission Road; and
WHEREAS said City Council has determined that, in view of foregoing, it is in the public
interest that said City ~hould make a contribution to the assessment proceedings in the amount of the
aforesaid,
NOW, THFAqEFORE, BE IT R~30LVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
said City Council does hereby find and determine that said City should contribute the sum of Eleven
Thousand Six Hundred Fifteen and A7/lOOths Dollars ($11,615.&7) towards the cost of the work of widening
and otherwise improving Mission Road, as performed pursuant to the assessment proceedings conducted
under the provisions of the aforesaid Resolution of Intention No. 218~, said sum of money to be derived
from an appropriate fund o~ funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works of said City, as its ex-officio
Superintendent of Streets, be, and he hereby is, directed to prepare and file with the City Clerk, an~
amended~'~ssessment for the property declared to be benefited by th~ public improvement work herein-
before mentioned,~ and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 218~, adopted by said City Council
on August l, 1955, as above mentioned.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held bhis &th
day of September 1956, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo Ryan
