A RESOLDTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF sourH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC
ROADWAY OR T~OBODGHFAHE DEDICATED TO THE
CITY OF ~OIFTll SAN FRANCI~ AND KNOWN AS
"BIRCR AVENUE"
Good and sufficient cause appearing,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 8outh San Francisco,
a municipal corporation in the County of San Mates, State of California, as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of said City Council to order the follow-
ing public roadway or thoroughfare, comprising a part of Birch Avenue, in said City,
to be vacated:
All that real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of
San Mates, State of California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the S.E. COrner of Let 33 in Block 7 Parkway
Terrace, as recorded on D~cember 33, 1936, at F~dwood City,
County of San Ifateo, State of California; thence S. 74° 27'
E. 38.16 feet; thence N. 33° 31' W. 152.63 feet; thence N.
74° 27' W. 38.16 feet; thence S. 33° 31' E. 152.63 'feet to
the polnt of beginning,'
which was dsdlcat®d to the Clty of South San Francisco by delineation on a portion of
that certain map entltled "PARKWAY TEl/RACE ~OUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA", whlch
~ap was recorded tn the offlce of the Recorder of San Mates County on the 33d day of
December 1926, in Book 14 of M~ps at pages 63 and 64.
Section 2. Said City Council hereby fixes Monday, the 3rd day of September
1957, at the hour of 8 p.m. o'clock,i In the Councll Chamber~, City Hall, in said
City of South San Francisco, County of San Mates, State of California, as the tlme and
place for hearing all p~rson~tnterested tn, or objecting to, the vacatlon of said
public roadway or thoroughfare.
Section 3. Notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, gtvlng
the ttme and place of hearing thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the lines
of said publlc roadway or thoroughfare, for at least ten (10) days prior to said
hearing, and not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and not less
than three (3) in all.
Section 4, The action hereby taken by said City Council is in pursuance to
that certain Act of the Legislature of the State of California known as the "Street
Vacation ASt of 1941", the sa~e being Division 9,. Part 3, of the Streets and Highnys
Code of the State of California.
Section 5. This resolution of intention shall be published once.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution wa~ regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held on the 5th day of August 1957, by the following
vote:
