AN EMPLOYEE OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY

WHEREAS, it has pleased Almighty God in His infinite wisdom to remove from
our midst JOSEPH H, DIAS, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dias, a native of California, vas a resident of the City of
South San Francisco, Stats of California, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dias vas employed by tho Street Department of tho City of SOuth
San FrancisCo from the 15th day of April 1946 until his untimely death on the 12th day
of June 1957, and
WHEREAS, said JOSEPH H. DIAS, as a loyal and faithful public servant, con-
tributed greatly, by untiring efforts, to the upbuilding and improvement of the City of
South San Francisco, and

WHEREAS, it has pleased Almighty God in His infinite visdom to remove from
our midst JOSEPH H. DIAS, and

South San Francisco, State of California, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dias was employed by the Street Department of the City of South
San Francisco from the 15th day of April 1946 until his untimely death on the 12th day
of June 1957, and
WBEREAS, said JOSEPH H. DIAS, as a loyal and faithful public servant, con-
tributed greatly, by untiring efforts, to the upbuilding and improvement of the City of
South San Francisco, and

NOW, THEREll)R~, BE IT R~SOLV~D by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that this City Council laments the passing of JOSEPH H. DIAS and
extends its Sincere sympathy to his family in their hour of 'sorrow.
BE IT FUltTm ~ESOLV~D that this resolution bm spread upon the official
minutes of the City Council and that a copy thereof together vith a parchment
oertificate of merit bm sent to the w~fo of JOSEPH H. DIAS.
I hereby certify that the forsgoing resolution was regu-
larly introduced and admpted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at a regularmmeting held this 5th day of Augtmt 1957
