RESOLU~IONMAKING CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS IN THE
ACQUISITIONS OR I~PROVE~ENTS TO B~ADE IN PROPOSED
PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND OVERRULING PROTESTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, San Mateo
County, State of California, did, on the 17th day of June, 1957, pass and adopt its
Resolution No. 2491 of Intention to change the proposed acquisitions or improvements
to be made in proposed Parking District No. 1 of said City of South San Francisco;
and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No, 2491 provided that Monday, the 5th day of
August, 1957, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. of said day, at the meeting place of
the City Council of the said City of South San Francisco, .located in the City Hall,
South San Francisco, California, was the time and place when and where any and all
persons having any objections to the proposed changes might appear before said City
Council and show cause why said proposed changes should not be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution of Intention to make said changes has been published
in the t~Jae and manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, a copy of Resolution No. 2491 of Intention to make said changes
~has be~n ~a~l'ed, postage, thereon prepaid, to each person to whom real property in the
proposed Parking DlJtrict No. 1 is assessed, as shown on the last equalized assess-
ment roll, at his or her address as shown upon the roll, and to each person, whether
owner in fee or having a lien upon or equitable interest in any real property within
the district, whose name and address and a designation of the real property in which
he is interested is on file in the office of the City Clerk, which said mailing was
completed not less than twenty (20) days prior to the date herein fixed for hearing;
and
WHEREAS, on August 5, 1957, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the chambers
of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, located in the City Hall,
South San Francisco, the hearing on said Resolution No. 2491 of intention to make said
changes was duly and regularly continued to August 19, 1957, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
p.m. at the same place; and
WHEREAS, the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. of August 19th, 1957, having arrived
and the matter having been heard by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
and the proposed changes having been dUly considered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of South San Francisco, San Marco
County, California, as follows:
1. That a supplemental engineer's report has been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of South San Francisco in accordance, with the requirements of Resolution
No. 2491.
2. The City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby finds that
there should be .no alteration in the boundaries of the proposed Parking District No. 1
by the changes proposed in Resolution No. 2491-adopted on the 17th day of June, 1957,
and does hereby find that all of the properties within the boundaries of proposed
Parking Distrct No. 1, as established by Resolution of Intention No. 2464 to establish
Parking District No. 1, will be benefited after the changes made in the acquisitions
and improvements as proposed by Resolution No. 2491.
3. That in lieu of the off-street parking places proposed to be acquired
by said Resolution of Intention No. 2464 there shall be acquired as such off-street
parking places the following pieces and parcels of land, lying and being in the City
of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Parking Lot 1: All of Lot 2 and the east 1/2 of Lot 3 in Block 139 as
delineated and set out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco,
San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the:offic® of the
County ReCorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B'! of Original
Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 2.: AIL of Lots 9 and 10 in Block 140 as delineated and set
out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat
No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo
County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into
Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 3: Ail of Lots 18 and 19 in Block 125 as delineated and set
out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal.,
Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San
Mateo County.on March 1, 1892 in Book "~' of Original Maps at page 6 and copied
into Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 4: Ail of Lots 19 and 20 in Block 140 as delineated and set
out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal.,
Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San
Marco County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied
into Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 5: All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 124 as delineated and set out
on that certaln map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat
No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo
County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into
Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 6: Ail of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 126 as delineated and set out
on that certain map entitled ?South San Fraletsco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat
No. 1", which map was filed in the office Of the County Recorder of San Marco
County on March 1, 1892 in Book 'B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into
Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 7: All of Lots 12 and 13 in Block 126 as delineated and set
out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal.,
Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San
Mateo County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied
into Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
That in lieu of the public ways for ingress to and egress from, proposed
to be acquired by said Resolution of Intention No. 2464, there shall be acquired as
a public way of ingress and egress only the following piece and parcel of land lying
and being in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, to wit:
Public Way No. 1: The easterly 25 feet of Lot 23 in Block 124 as deline-
ated and set out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo
Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder
of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and
copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
4; Each and all of the parcels of real property particularly described
in said Resolution No. 2464 of Intention proposed therein to be acquired as off-street
parking lots or public ways, and improved as therein Provided, other than such of
said parcels of real property which are hereinabove particularly described, are
hereby eliminated from this proceeding, and each and.every.one of said parcels so
eliminated shall not, in this proceeding, be so acquired or improved, anything in said
Resolution No. 2464 of Intention to the contrary notwithstanding.
5. The City of South San Francisco, in addition to the amounts proposed by
it to be contributed toward the proposed acquisitions aad improvements set forth in
Resolution of Intention NO. 2464, does hereby agree to co~tribute to said Parking
District No. 1, at no consideration,.parking lots 6 and 7 respectively, which said
lots are now owned by it in fee, to be by said Parking District No. 1 improved for
use as off-street parking lots, and to contribute all of the ne~ revenues from all of
the parking meters or other revenues received from the establishment and operation
thereon of off-street parking facilities throughout the life of the bonds to be issued

Parking Lot 6: All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 126 as delineated and set out
on that certain map entitled ?South San Frase~sco, San Marco Co., Cal., Plat
No. 1", which map was filed in the office Of the County Recorder of San Marco
County on March 1,~1892 in Book 'B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into
Book 2 of Maps at page 52.
Parking Lot 7: All of Lots 12 and 13 in Block 126 as delineated and set
out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Marco Co., Cal.,
Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San
Marco County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied
into Book 2 of Maps at page 52.

4. Each and all of the parcels of real property particularly described

hereby eliminated from this proceeding, and each and.every.one of said parcels so
eliminated shall not, in this proceeding, be so acquired or improved, anything in said
Resolution No. 2464 of Intention to the contrary notwithstanding.
5. The City of South San Francisco, in addition to the amounts proposed by
it to be contributed toward the proposed acquisitions and improvements set forth in
Resolution of Intention NO. 2464, does hereby agree to contribute to said Parking
District No. 1, at no consideration, ~parking lots 6 and 7 respectively, which said
lots are now owned by it in fee, to be by said Parking District No. 1 improved for
use as off-street parking lots, and to contribute all of the net revenues from all of
the parking meters or other revenues received from the establishment and operation
thereon of off-street parking facilities throughout the life of the bonds to be issued
in these proceedings.
6. All of the changes hereinabove set forth are made in confor~ity with
the provisions of Sections 35270 to 35273 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
7. The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby specif-
ically find that all protests filed by all persons interested objecting to the
formation of the parking district, the extent thereof, .the inclusion of his property
therein, the proposed acquisitions and improvements provided to be made by Resolution
of Intention No. 2491, the issuance of bonds, or to any other proposal as provided
in Resolution of Intention No. 2464 and Resolution of Intention No. 2491 represent
less than 1/2 of the assessed valuation of all taxable real property in the district,
and less than 1/2 of the area of the proposed Parking District No. 1, and each and
all of said protests are, by this City Council, ordered overruled.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San ~Francisco, San Marco
County, California, at a regular meeting .thereof, held on the 19th day of
August, 1957, by the foll0wing vote, to wit:
