A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2518 AND
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF MUNICIPALLY OWNED PROPERTY
TO THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR USE AS THE SITE FOR A
DEPARTMENT OF THE SUPERIOR COURT
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has met the requirements~ of the
Government Code for the location of a Department of the Superior Court, and
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo desires to locate in South San Fran-
cisco the first Department of the Superior Court to be located in the northern part
of San Mateo County, and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is the owner in fee of certain
real property, hereinafter particularly described, which is suitable as a site for
said Department of the Superior Court, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advantageous to and in the best interest of the
citizens of South San Francisco and for the common benefit to have said Department
of the Superior Court located within the confines of said City,
WHEREAS, the terms set forth in Resolution No. 2518 required revision,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that Resolution No. 2518 is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco that said City shall enter into an Indenture with the County of San Mateo for
the purpose of transferring to said County, in consideration for its location of
quarters for a Department of the Superior Court on said site, the following described
real property:
BEGINNING at a point on the Northeasterly line
of Mission Road, said point being the most
Southerly corner of Lot 8 Block 2 Map of Regli
Tract, filed April 7, 1924 in Book 11 of Maps
at page 63.; running thence North 10° 21' 36"
East on and along the Easterly line of said
Lot 8, 151.42 feet; thence South 74007' 22"
East 208.49 feet; thence South 14° 32' West
321.43 feet to a point on the said Northeasterly
line of Mission Road, thence North 33° 52' 56"
West on and along the said Northeasterly line
of Mission Road 264.03 feet to the point of
beginning. ~ONTAINING 1.09 acres of land.
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED that said Indenture shall expressly provide
that in the event and at the time that said County shall cease to use said property as
a site for the location of a Superior Court Building and other related purposes, or if
said County shall abandon said property, then the same shall immediately revert to the
City of South San Francisco.
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Mayor of said City be, and he hereby is, author-
ized to execute the aforementioned Indenture on behalf of said City, and that the City
Clerk be, and he hereby is, instructed to attest to the same and to affix thereto the
corporate seal of said City. After said Indenture shall be so executed, it shall be
forwarded to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Marco by the City Clerk, to-
gether with two (2) certified copies of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held this 16th day of September, 1957, by the following
vote:
AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi and Leo J. Ryan
NOES, None
ABSENT, Councilman Francis Lucchio
