RESOLUTION Executive Director Birkelo informed the Board that Assistant
Executive Director/Secretary, Smith would present the Staff
Report for this item.
Jean Smith stated that staff recommends that the Redevelop-
ment Agency adopt the resolution which approves the requested
variance and installation of the two advertising signs as it
contains the additions as well as the findings for making the
variance. Homart and Coldwell Banker have applied to the
Agency for permission to install two real estate advertising
signs from the top floor of the new office building which is
at 651 Gateway Blvd. under a variance that was granted on
June 13, 1984. The Gateway Specific Plan as well as the
South San Francisco Municipal Code limits advertising signs
to 20 square feet, and in order to do an adequate job for
this large building, it is staff's recommendation that the
Agency adopt the attached resolution containing the findings
and conditions.
John Aguilar of Homart Development Company stated: The staff
report and the conditions laid out in it are acceptable to
us, and I will be happy to respond to your questions.
