A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPROVING RECOMMENDATIONS AND
REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION REZONING PARCEL
30, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MAP NO. 1, TO AN R-3 DISTRICT
AND ORDERING ENDORSEMENTS AFFIXED TO SAID RECOMMENDATIONS
AND REPORT
WHEREAS, the Planning Coaaission of the City of South San Francisco, after
hearings and proceedings in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California
has duly filed its Reco~mendations and Report to rezone Parcel 30, South San Francisco Map
No. 1, now located in an R-1 District, to an R-3 District; said property is more particu-
larly described in Exhibit "A', attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires to
approve said rezoning and endorse it to evidence that it has been adopted by the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does hereby approve the Recommendations and Report of the Planning Commission
of said City to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 353, as a~ended, and in particular Sec~on 2.2
of said Ordinance, so as to rezone Parcel 30, South San Francisco Map No. 1, now located
in an R-1 District, to an R-3 District; said property is more particularly described in
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof; and further orders
the endorsement of said Recommendations and Report by the signature of the Mayor of the
City of South San Francisco attested to by the City Clerk to show that said Recommendations,
Report and addition have been adopted by'the City Council,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council-does hereby order the drafting
of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 353, as amended, and in particular Section
2.2 of said Ordinance to effect said zoning change.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held this 5th day of July, 1960, by the following
vote:

DESCRIPTION OF THAT 9.99 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND OWNED
BY THE HORSE RANCH, INC., A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION,
883 SANTA CRUZ AVENUE, MENLO N~RK, CALIFORNIA. SAID
PARCEL TO BE REZONED FROM R-1 TO R-3 FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF THE ST. FRANCIS PALISADES APARTMENTS
BEGINNING at a point which marks the most easterly corner of Lot 1, Block 1,
as that lot is designated on the map titled "SUBDIVISION MAP OF PARADISE VALLEY, SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO, SAN MATEO CO., CALIFORNIA", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of
the County of San Mateo, State of California, on March 20, 1940 in Book 22 of Maps at page
40, said point of beginning also being the southerly line of Randolph Avenue; thence from
said point of beginping along the general easterly boundary line of said Paradise Subdivision,
above referred to, the following courses and distances: South 20° 03' 16" West 215.90 feet,
South 86° 42' 02" West 29.6 feet and SOuth 15° 32' 24" West 581.17 feet to the northeasterly
corner of the lands described in the Deed from South San Francisco Land and Improvement Com-
pany, a corporation, to Jake Herber and wife, dated September 7, 1938 and recorded September
29, 1938 in Book 810 of Official Records of San Marco County at page 98 (40786-D); thence
leaving said easterly subdivision line, South 15° 33' West, along the easterly line of said
lands of Herber, 154.49 feet to the northeasterly line of Hillside Boulevard; thence south-
easterly along said northeasterly line of Hillside Boulevard to the northwesterly line of
the lands described in the Deed from South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a cor-
poration, to Raynor E. Gimba11, et al, dated February 15, 1951 and recorded March 9, 1951 in
Book 2036 of Official Records of San Marco County at page 248 (22851-J); thence along the
northwesterly and northeasterly line of said lands of Gimba11, et al, North 46° 40' East
407.30 feet and South 32° 16' East 228.14 feet to the northerly corner of the lands des-
cribed in the Deed from South San Franc~co Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to
Sun Tube Corporation, a corporation, d~ ed April 27, 1951 and recorded May 17, 1951, in
Book 2072 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 519 (37123-J); thence along the
northeasterly line of the lands last mentioned, South 32° 16' East 367.44 feet to the north-
erly corner of the lands described in the Deed from South San Francisco Land and Improvement
Company, a corpor~tion, to Anchor Post Products, Inc., of California, a California corpora-
tion, dated April 3, 1951 and recorded April 17, 1951 in Book 2055 of Official Records of
San Marco County at page 606 (30785-J): thence along the northeasterly line of the lands
last mentioned, South 32° 16' East 27.37 feet and South 41° 58' 40" East 98.92 feet to the
northerly corner of the lands described in the Deed from-South San Francisco Land and Im-
provement Company, a corporation, to C. J. Colligan and wife, dated April 5, 1951 and re-
~cordad April 20, 1951 in Book 2057 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 343
(31484-J); thence along the northeasterly line of the lands last mentioned, South 41° 58' 40"
last 145.44 feet to the northwesterly line of the lands described in the Deed from South San
Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to Sierra and San Francisco Power
Company, a corporation, dated April 3, 1925 and recorded~ebruary 26, 1926 in Book 218 of
Official Records of San Mateo County at p~ge 45 (54971-A). thence along the northwesterly
line of the lands last mentioned, North 8u 59' 46" West 1313.59 feet to the southerly line
of the 25 foot right of way of Randolph Avenue; thence on and along the southerly line of
Randolph ~venue in a westerly direction, North 69~ 56' 44" West 334.1~:~feet to the point of
beginning.
