A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GRANTING A GRADING PERMIT AND
A PERMIT TO HAUL FILL MATERIAL OVER CITY STREETS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the
application of FLORENTINO ROSAS, 177 Guttenberg Street, San Francisco, California, to
fill a fifteen (15) acre parcel of land known as Lot 21, of Section 26, Township 3,
South Range 5, West Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, Map No. 1 of Salt Marsh and Tide-
lands, having been received and the Director of Public Works' recommendation having been
made, it is ordered that a fill and grading permit be issued to said FLORENTINO ROSAS
in accordance with the proposal made.
And, further, that said permit shall contain provisions indemnifying and
holding the City, its election officials, officers, and employees harmless from claims
and further requiring the conducting of the filling and grading in a manner that will
not injure the property in the vicinity of the land to be graded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works shall ascertain by
inspection that said fill and grading are performed in accordance with the permit and
upon its completion shall file with the City Clerk a report stating the results of said
inspection and certifying that the grading has been performed in accordance with the permi
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a permit shall be issued to said FLORENTINO ROSAS
to transport fill material over the City streets in accordance with the proposal made,
and said FLORENTINO ROSAS shall post a bond with the City Clerk to indemnify the City
for any damages which may be caused to any sidewalks or pavement, sewers or any other
public improvement in transporting said fill material in the amount of Two Thousand
Dollars ($2,000.00)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT FLORENTINO ROSAS shall be responsible for obtaining
consent or permits frdm any other public or private agency or person if such are required
and shall comply with all laws and regulations of any other public agency should they be
related to his filling and grading operation.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City COuncil of the City of South San Francisco at
a regular meeting held this 6th day of September, 1960, by the following vote:
