A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO GRANTING A GRADING PERMIT TO EDWIN G. COOPMAN
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the application
of Edwin G. Coopmau to conduct grading work, to wit: Cut and fill operation in the east side of
Chestnut Avenue southerly from its intersection with Hillside Boulevard 800 feet more or less and about
200 feet ou Hillside Boulevard so as to meet existing gradings, same being on file in the office of the
City Clerk and the Director of Public Works' report and recommendation approving same having been made,
it is ordered that a fill and grading permit be issued to Edwin G. Coopman, 1500 Mills Tower, San
Francisco, California, iu accordance with proposal made and the report and recommendation of the
Director of Public Works.
And further that said permit shall contain provisions indemnifying and holding the City,
its elective officials, officers and employees harmless from claims and further requiring the conduct-
ing of the filling and grading iua manner that will not injure the property in the vicinity of the
land to be graded.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works shall ascertain by inspection
that said fill and grading are performed in accordance with the permit and upon its completion
shall file with the City Clerk a report stating the results of said inspection and certifying that
the grading has been performed in accordance with the permit.
BE IT ~JRTHER RESOLVED that Edwin G. Coopman shall be responsible for obtaining consent
or permits from any other public or private agency or person if such are required and shall comply
with all laws and regulations of any other public agency should they be related to his filling
and grading operation.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting
held this 15th day of May, 1961, by the following vote:
