A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT
TO SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS WITHOUT PROCEEDINGS UNDER DIVISION
4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE -- PECK'S SUBDIVISION #1
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, Califor-
nia, that
WHEREAS, all of the owners of more than 60~ in area of the property subject
to assessment therefor have si-cned and filed with the City Clerk of this City a writ-
ten petition for undertakin-c proceedin-cs pursuant to special assessment and assessment
bond acts, and to assess the costs thereof upon the properties benefited by said im-
provements, and waivin¢ proceedin-cs under Division 4 of the Streets and Hi-chways Code,
for the followin-c improvements:
The improvin-c of Lewis Avenue from about the southerly curb line of
Gardiner Avenue to about 150' northerly of the northerly property line of
Green Avenue; Madrone Avenue from about the westerly curb line of Lewis
Avenue to about the westerly curb line of Chapman AvenUe, by -cradin-c in-
cludin_¢ the removal of existin-c concrete curbs, _cutters, driveways and
sidewalks, and the construction therein of crush rock base and asphalt
concrete pavement and Portland cement curbs, _cutters, sidewalks and
driveways and sanitary sewers in Lewis Avenue and by doin_¢ work auxil-
iary to any of the above and necessary to complete the same.
WHEREAS, the costs and expenses of said contemplated improvements are to be
char-ceable upon an assessment district, the exterior boundary of which is the coter-
minous exterior boundary of the composite and consolidated area consistin-c of the
several parcels of land abuttin-c on said improvements, more particularly shown on
a map thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk, which indicates by a boundary
line the extent of the territory included in the proposed district and which shall
corem for all details as to the extent of the assessment district;

WH]EREAS, the public interest and convenience will be served by the takin~
of said proceedings;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED and ORDERED that all of the
owners of more than 60~ in area of the property subject to assessment for said pro-
posed improvements who appear to be such on the Assessor's roll on the day that said
petition was filed, or, in the case of transfers of land or parts thereof subsequent
to the date upon which the last Assessor's roll was prepared, appear to be such on the
records in the County Assessor's office which the County Assessor will use to prepare
the next ensuin~ Assessor's roll, have si~ned and filed with the City Clerk a written
petition for the construction of improvements pursuant to appropriate special assess-
ment and assessment bond acts, without further compliance with the provisions of
Division 4 of the Streets and Hiyhways Code.
IT IS FURTHER FOUND, DETERMINED and ORDERED that said proceedings for the
construction of said improvements shall be had pursuant to the Municipal Improvement
Act of 1913 and the bonds upon the unpaid assessments thereof shall be issued pursuant
to the Improvement Bond Act of 1915.
IT IS FURTHER FOUND, DETERMINED and ORDERED that the provisions of Division
4 of the Streets and Highways Code be, and they are hereby, dispensed with.
