A RESOLUTI01[ OF .THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI~ CITY OF SOUTH SAII
FP~NCISC0 ORDERING VACATI0I~T OF A PORTION OF PONDEROSA ROAD
IN AVALON PARK NO. 3
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, and
this Council does hereby find, order ~and determine that
1. The City Council did on the ~th day of September, 1962, adopt its Resolution
No. 3565 of Intention to vacate a portion of Ponderosa Road in Avalon Park No. 3, more
particularly hereinafter described.
2. Said Resolution recited that proceedings were undertaken pursuant to the
Street Vacation Act of 1941.
3. Said Resolution of Intention was duly published.as required by law, and notices
of its passage entitled "Notice of Proposed Vacation of a Portion of Ponderosa Road in
Avalon Park No. 3" were fully posted in the time, manner and form provided by law, all as
appear from the affidavit of publication and posting on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said City.
4. Monday, the 1st day of October, 1962, at the hour of 8 P.M. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, Grand and Maple Avenues, South San ~¥ancisco, California, were fixed
in said Resolution of Intention as the time and place when and where any and all persons
interested in, or having any objections to, said proposed vacation may appear before said
Council and be heard.
5. The portion of Ponderosa Road in Avalon Park No. 3, as shown on the map on file
in the office of the City Clerk and copy of ~hich is.attached hereto, is more particularly
described as follows:
"Portion of Ponderosa Road, as said road is shown on the map entitled
"Avalon Park No. 3 South San Francisco, California", which map was ~'iled
in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of
California, on July 28, 1954, in Book 39 of Maps at pages 46 and 47, said
portion being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of Lot 36, Block 6, as shown
on the map above mentioned; thence along the northeasterly line of said~
Lot 36 South 34° 53' East 95.00 feet; thence along a curve to the right,
tangent to the last named course, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through
an arc of 90° , an arc distance of 31.42 feet to a point on the north-
westerly line of Alhambra Road; thence along said northwesterly line of
Alhambra Road produced, North 55° 07' East 13.7~9 feet; thence along a
curve to the left, tangent to the last named course, having a radius of
20.00 feet, through an arc of 67° ~6', an arc distance of 23.66 feet to
a point of reverse curvature; thence along a curve to the right, having
a radius of 165 feet, through an. arc of 67° ~6.', an arc distance of
19~.l~ feet to a point on the northwesterly boundary of Avalon Park
No. 3 above mentioned; thence southwesterly along said northwesterly
boundary of Avalon Park No. 3 to the point of beginning.
RESERVING T~R]~]FROM the following easements as shown on the map
entitled "Avalon Park No. 3, South San Francisco, C~.ifornia", which
map was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo,
State of California, on July 28, 19~4, in Book 39 of maps at pages 46 and
47.
a. Right of way for electrical poles and wires and gas pipes
b. Right of way to install, excavate for, replace, maintain pipes for conveying gas
Public service easement as shown on the map entitled "Avalon Park, South San
Francisco, California", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of
the County of San Mateo, St~te of California, on July 7, 19~9, in Book 30 of
maps at pages 32, 33 and 34.
d. A 40-foot public utility easement as shown on said map
e. Overhang privilege as set forth on said map
6. No objections of any kind or character have been, or were, made or filed,
against said proposed vacation.
7. It is to the interest and convenience of the City of South San Francisco that
said portion of Ponderosa Road in Avalon Park No.'3 be, and hereby is, vacated.
8. The City Clerk of said City shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution
and order, attested under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of the County of San Mateo.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held
