declared to be duly elected as members of the ~oard of ~'rustees of the Oity
of ~outh ~am francisco: that w. ~. omith b~ and hereby is, declared to be du
ly elected to the office of uity Ulerk of said Oity; that C.L.~auffmann be,
and hereby is , declared to be elected to the office of uity Treasurer of
said Oity; that the City Clerk'clerk be, and hereby is directed to to issue

Ounningham and regularly carried that ~.O.mc Govern act a~ Temporary Chair-
man.
Trustee ~.C. mcGoverm in the Chair announced that nominations were in
order for the office of President of The ~oard.
· he name of Trustee F.A. Cunninghamwas placed in nomination by Trustee
Holston which nomination was seconded by Trustee T.L.Hickey and Trustee
Cunningham being the only nominee he was unanimously elected Z~resident of th~
~oard of Trustees.
Trustee ~'. R. Cunningham in the Chair the reg~zlar order of business was the~
taken up, the minutes of the two previous meetings were read and approved.
An a~plication from ~.w. ~neese for the office of City Marsha~ was then read
~oved ~y Trmstee Hickey seconded by Trmstee ~c. Govern that Henry ~. Kneese
be appointed marshal of the City of South S~n ~rancisco.

foot. ~rtificial stone side walks ~venty two 12~) cents per square foot
From ~. B.Rilovich laying concrete curbs Thirty nine ~)cents per
L~a~l foot. Artificial Stone side walks ~enty 20 cents per square foot.
The following resolution was then introduced by Trustee T.L.Hickey.
~hereas, the ~oard of Trustees of the Ciyt of ~outh ~an Francise
did ~n $~een session on the I~th Day of April, open, examine and declare all
sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in said City, to wit;
That that portion of ~ay View Avenue between the southwest line of
lot seventeen ~I7), ~lock One Hundred and Thirteen ~II3), and the ~orth lin
of lot ~'ourteen II~) Block one Hundred and Thirteen , on the~est side thereo~
'and that portion of ~spen Avenue, on both sides thereof, from the east line
of ~.~aple Avenue to the West line of olive avenue, including all street inter
sections on each of said streets, be improved by constructing concrete curbs
therein for the full lenght of each of said streets as above specified, ex-
cepting where ~such curbs are already constructed: and by filling in earth
back of said c~arbs so as to bring sidewalks between curb and artificial ston[
sidewalks to 5fficial grade: and by constructing'artificial stone sidewalks
therein havin~ a width of five 15) feet, commencing two~2) feet from the pr
perry line and extending five{5) feet towards the curb line for the full len
ght of each o~ ss. id steeets as above specified, excepting where such sidewal~
are already c~nstructed, in accordance with the plans and specifications
posted and on.file and heretofore adopted for doing said work.
Resolved that the ~oard of Trustees of the Ci~ of San ~rancisc~
hereby rejects, all of said bids except that next herein mentioned, and hereb~
awards the co~'tract for doing said work and improvment to the lowest respon-
sible bidder, otc wit; A. B.Hilovich, at the prices na~ed in his bid, which
prices are as ~ollows; 0urbing 3~ cents per lineal foot.
Sidewalks 20 cents per square foot.
T~e City ~lerk ishereby directed to notice of this award eon-
spicously for 'five days, on or near the chamber door of this ~oard and also
publish said notice by one insertion in'The Enterprise',, a weekly newspaper
printed and published in said 0ity, and hereby designated for that purpose by
said Boazd of Trustees.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and reg-
