This meeting was oalledto order at 8'I5 0 clock P.M., by Trustee P.A. Cunnlngham President
of the Board.
Roll-call found all Trustees present,to wit; G.W. Holston, T.L. Hickey, J.H.
Kelley, J.C. Mo. Govern, and I~.A. Cunningham.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved .
A communication was received from the Abstract of Title Co. of San Mateo County,asking
that a notice be stamped on each Tax receipt of the City of South san ~ranoisco directing
tax payers to pay State and CoUnty Taxes at Redwood City.
Moved by Trustee Mc Govern seconded by Trustee
Hiokey that the City Tax collector be instructed to comply with the request.

A ook~unication was received from the San Mateo County Development Association advising tha'~
Prof. Winklers Band would give concerts throughout the County from Auge~t on and stating
price of same and Etc. Moved by Trustee Hickey seconded by Trustee Mo Govern that the
communication be answered by the Clerk informing t~e secretary of the San MAteo Co~mty
De~olopment Association that the matter would be taken under advisment by the Board of TrusZ
tees. Carried
A communication was received from M.F.Healy asking what had been done in the matter of
reduoeing the mnnber of saloons within the limits of the City of South San Francisco.
There being no objection thereto the Chairman instructed the Clerk to answer the letter
and say nothing had been done as yet.

It was then moved by Trustee Hickey seconded by Trustee Mc. Govern that the Liquor Ordinance
be amended so that permits for liquor licenses shall be granted for a term of six months
only. Carried

the City Clerk and Treasurer be P~id by the City.

Resolved ~$at the plans and specifications for the following street work;
The improvment of that portion ofBaden Avemle
between the west line of Spruce Avenue and the East line of Chestnut Avenue, including all
street intersections ,by constructing concrete curbs therein on Both sides thereof for the
full lenght as above specified,except where such curbs are already constructed ; and by
constructing concrete gutters therein on both sides thereof fo~ the full lenght .as above w
specified , except where such gutters a~ already constructed; and by constructing artificial ston
stone sidewalks therein on both sides thereof having a width of five [5) feet , commencing
two ~21feet from the property or boundary line and extending five ~5) feet toward the curb
line,for the full le~ht as above specified,except where s~ch sidewalks are already con-
strutted; and by filling in earth back of said curbs so as to bring sidewalks between curb
and artificial stone sidewalks to official grade; and by grading said Aeenue for its full
~ width from curb to curb for the full lenght as above specified ; excepting where
such grading has already been done; as prepared by the City Engineer of said City and sub~

Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the C~yt of South San ~rancisco, that Public
intrest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the
Dity of South San ~ranciscoto order the following street work to be done in said City,to-

The Board of Trustees, under the authority conferred upon it by the provisions of zhat
certain act of the Legislature of theState of California,approved April 7th,I9II, and known
as the "Improvment act of I9II" determines and declares that serieA bomds shall be issued
,
to represent the cost of said proposed improvments: said bonds shall be serial and extendin~
over a period of nine ~9)years from the second day of Jauuary next succeeding their date
and shallbe issued to represent assessments of Twenty -five ~2~ldollars or more remaining
unpaid thirty ~00 days after the date of the warrant issued to the contractor , or five
~ldays after the decision of the said Board of Trustees on an appeal ; an even annual prop-
ortion of the principal sum of each bond shall be payable by coupon on the second day of Jan
uary of each year after its date and until the whole is paid,and intrest shall be payable
semi-annUally,by coupon,on the second days of January and July , respectively,of each year
at the rate of seven per cent per anum on all sums unpaid until the whole is paid; and said
bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of said"Improvme, nt Act" of IgII".
The Superintendent of streets shall, immediately,cause to conspicuously posted
along the line of said contemplated work and tmprovment and in front of of all the property
liable to be assesse~ notices of the passage of this Resolution of Inntention, in the manner
and form required by law.

The Board of Trustees.under the authority conferred upon it

ttons posted or on file, by two insertions in "The Enterprise" ,a weekly newspaper printed
and published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for thatb purpose.
