G. Carroll, Jos. Pachecco, Hawes& Tibb~ts, R.Setter~,H. Ghilardi,J.Curti and ~. Giffra.
And accom~ng~-~ch of the above applications was a bond in the sum of One Thousand (I000)
dollars in favor of the City of South San Francisco,for the faithful compliance with ordin-
ance #4 of the City of South SanFrancisco,and each of the above applicants h~ ring co:n ,lied
in a~l respects with ordinance ~4 t~l~ey were granted permits for liquor licenses until Dec.
SIst. I912, by the unanimous vote of all Trustees present,to wit; G.W.Holston,J.H.Ke~ley,
J.C. Mc Govern and F.A.Cunningham.
Absent, Trustee, T.T,.Hickey.
A Report for the month of June was received from City Reco:, der Wm. Rehberg enclo~eing
~heck for ~orty--five dollars as fines collected for monSh June. ~
The report was accepted.

intention was duly and legally published as ~equired by law, as appears from the affidavit
~f E.I.Toodman on file in the office of the City C~erkin said City ; and whereasn notices
of the passage of said resolution of intention No. 3 headed "Notice of Improvment" were
duly and legally posted along the lin~ of said contemplated vJork ~nd im~rovment and in

Resolved, that publis intrest and convenience require that the work ~-,erein des
cribed, and the Board of Trustees of the City of ~Jouth San ~rancisco hereby orders the fol-
7_owing work to be done in said City, to wit;
That that portion of Baden Avenue between 'the wes line of Spruce Avenue ar~ the East
lin~ of Chestnut Avenue,including all street intersections, be improe~d by constructkhg
concrete curbs therein on both .ides thereof for the full lec~ght as above specified,except
'here such curbs are already constructed ; and by constructing concrete gutters therein on
both sides thereof for the ~ull lenht as above specified, except where such gutters are already
constructed ; and by constructing artificial stone sidea walks therein on both sides thereof
having a width of five (B)feet,commencing two (~ feet from the property or boundary line of s~id Ave
and extending five (~) fmet towards the curb line, for the full lenght as above specified
~xcept where such sidewalks are already constructed~ and by filling in e~rth back of said
our~ s so as to bring side~lks between curbs and artificial stone sidowalks t~ ~ offfcial~_
grade ; and by gradetng ~id Avenue for its full ~dth from curb to curb for the full lenght as a
~bove specified, except where such gradeing has already been done,
All work shall be done in accordance with the special plans and specifications here-
to fc~e adppted for doing said work and now on file in the office ofthe City Clerk.
The Board of Trustees ,under the authority conferred upon it by that certain Act of
the Legislature of the State of California, approved Apri~,Tth. IgII, and known as the
"Improvment act of !9II&'~ determines and declares that serial bo~s shall be issued to rep-
resent the cost of said proposed improvments;said bonds shall be serial extending over a period
of nine (9) years from the second day of Januarynext succeeding their dat~and shall be
issued to represent assessments of twenty-five2~ dollars or more remaining unpaid thirty
days after the date of the warrant issued to the contractor or, five(§ldays after the decision
of said Board of Trustees on an appeal; an e~ annual proportion of the principal sum of each
bon~ shall be payable by coupon on the second January of each year after its date and until the
whole i~ paid, and intrest shall be payable semi-annually ,by coupon, on the second days
of January and July, respectively, of ea ~h year at the rate of seven (?i per cent per annum
on. all suns ~u~paid until the whole Of said principal and intrest is paid ; and said bonds
~hall be issued in accordance w~th the provisio~s of said"Improvement Act of IgII."
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of' said work, together with plans and
specifications.therefor, conspicuously for five(6)days on or near the council chamber door
inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered. He is :lso directed to pub-

or on file by two (2)insertions in"The Enterprise",aweekly newspaperprinte¢~, published,

and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose.
