Regular ~leeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South
San Francisco, held ~onday January £0, IgI3.
This meeting was called to order at 8'0 Clock P.~I. by Trustee F.A. Cunningham "Preside
nt of the Board o~ Trustees"
Roll-call
Roll call found the following Trustees present,to wit;
G.W. Holston, J.H. Kelley, and F.A. Cunningham.
Trustees T.L, Hickey, and J.C. Nc Govern appeared after rollcall
Absent Trustees None.
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and approved.
An application for a "~LASS A" LiquorLicenses was ~'eceived frown Antonio Costa to conduc
a saloon at ~I0? Grand Avenue and. accompaning the application was a Bond executed in
favor of the Cit~ of South San Francisco for the faithful compliance with Ordinance ~59
by the applicant as provided by said Ordinance. And the applicant having complied in a
all ~espects with the provisions of Ordinance ~59 he was granted a permit for a Class
A Liquor License until June 30th I913, b.~ the unanimous vote of all Trustees presenL,
~o wit;G.W, l~olston , J.H.Kelley, J.C.~c Govern and F.A. C~uningham.
Absent Trustee T.L.Hickey.
An Affidavit relating to the publication of Eotice to bidders advertising for bids for
the improvment of Division Street between the north line of Grand Ave~ue and the South
line of Armour Avenue and that portion of Arm~our Avenue between the east line of San
Bruno Road and the West line of Division Street, was received fro~ E1 Woodman ~anager
of the Enterprise and ordered filed,
The following resolution was introduced by Trustee Hickey
Whereas the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Franciscodid on the £0th day of
January, IgI~, in open session ,publicly open and ex~nine a~ bids or proposals submitted
to said Board for performing all that certain work described in Resolution No. 4 of sa~d

Board of Trustees, and whereos ~aid Board o~ Trustees finds that all said bids or proposals
are too high,
Resolved, That all said bids or proposals be, and the Samm are hereby rejected.
i hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San 2rancisco this £0th. day January, IgI3,

The Clerk was instructed to order from Ludermanns ~ursery the following trees
Elms I000? Eucalyptus 5000
The S~TY Clerk was also instructed to communicate with the Chamber of Commerce of the City of
San ~ranctsco and the Board of Supervisors of the City od~ San Prancisco regarding a second
entrance to the City ~f San Prancisco via the San Bruno Road.
The following demands against the City were presented for payment the same having been approved
by the 2inance committee.

Moved by Trustee Hickey seconded by Trustee MC G~vern that the above amounts be paid and wa
and warrants drawn for the various amounts.
Carried
T~stee Mc Govern reported that the committee on selecting ~a route to be turned over to
the County for a Highway had selected as'follows San Bruno Road to Baden Avenue Baden to Linden
and Linden to the outskirts of the City.
Moved by Trustee Holston seconded by Trustee Kelley that the Beard adjourn until Eonday
February ~I913, to meet at ~310 Linden Avenue at 8 0 Clock
