This meeting was calle~ to order at 8'P.H.,by Trustee ~.W. Holston "President of
the Board of Trustees".

Theminutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee t,,~ Govern
seconded by T~ste.e Wallace and regularly carried weze approved as read.
A petition signed by over ~ne hundred and fifty 0itizens was presented to the Board of
Trustees, wherein the petitioners asked that the piece of inhabited land known as the
smelter site which is contXguous to the 0ity of South San Prancisoo, be annexed to the
City of South San Pranoiseo,And that the Board of Trustees take the neoes~ary steps for
a special election for the purpose of votiing on the question of annexing said new teri-
tory.
The petition was ordered to be placed On file Until the next meeting of the B~ard
to be held M'nday ~ebruary,Tth. 1916.
A petition for the improvment of the alley b[A~bl.nek 140 between L;nden and Cypress
was received by the Bsard of Trustees and the ~~ committee was authorized to have same
done ·
A eommmuication was received from Dr. I.W. Keith City Health officer wherein he
called the attention of the Board of Trustees to the lots on the S~uth side of Grand
Avenue between San Bruho and Division Sts. which are under water about eight months of the
year and a br~eding ground for m&squitoes,and asked that the B~ard take some action to
have those lots filled.

City of South San ~raneteco, this 24 th. dal~ of December, 1916, by th:- following vote;

The complaint against J~hn Colombo signed by Nigh~ Watchman Acheson was taken up at this ~ime
the complaint charged 0olombo with keeping his saloons open after hours,which he admitted
and after deliberation by the' BOard was let off with a repramand,

~an Francisco,for the purpose of holding ~4unicipal Elections therein was introduced b~
Trustee I~ ~overn had its first readi~ and was laid over to come up under regu~.ar, o~der 0f
business at the next meeting of the B~ard,
