April J, 1916. The meeting was calles to order at 8o'clock p.m. by G. ¥~., Holston (President
of the Board). Holl call found the following Trustees present to ~,~it: F. A. Cunningham,
J. H, Kelley, G. H. Wallace,. McGovern appeared after Roll c~ll. The minutes of the previous
meeting were reed and u~,on motion of Trustee Eelley seconded by Trustee Cunningham and regularly
carried were approved ss read.
An ~ppllcation(wss receive4) No. 629 was received from the Pacific Oas & Electric Company
to set poles as per attach blue print, and referred to the City Engineer for action.
An application No. 6~0-~1-5£-~J- was also received from the Pacific Gas & Electric Company
and referred to the City Ensineer for action.
~ Communication was receive~ from the South San Francisco School Districk referring to the
purchase of part of the Civic Centre Site for ~he building of a High School, The matter was
referred to the City Attorney.
The report of the City Officers for the month of ~arch were then read. The fey, crt of the
City Officials as follow~:
The report of the City Clerk showed the following b~lances General Fund $E9~9.~9, Storm
Sewer Fund $o. 1, $~95.54, Sewer Fund, $1891.7~, Sinking Fund, ~9~0.49, Library Fund, $768.9~,
Grand Avenue Extension Fund, $1562.60, Library Building Fund, $~00.62.
The report of the City Treasurer checked with that of the City Clerk. The report of the
City Recorder shove'ed that ~he sum of ~:5.00 had been collected through his office durin~ the
month of ~,~arch. It was moved by Trustee Kelley seconded by Trustee ,allace that the reports of all
the City Officials received at thi's meeting be accepted and filed.

Evidence in the case against Recorder Rehberg was heard after which Rehberg presented his res-
ignation to the Board of Trustews. it was moved by Trustee Eelley seconded by Trustee Cunnin~ham
and regularly carried, the resignation of aecorder Rehberg was accepted.
This ~eing the evening for the opening bids for a new fire truck for the City of South San Frs~
cisco, it was moved by Trustee Cunningh;xm seconded by Trustee Kelley and Regularly carried that the
bids be opened. The following Bids were then opened.
The American ,ZaFrance Fire Engine Company, bid No. l, One &merican LaFranoe type V5 combimation
Chemical engine an~ hose cart motor driven as per specifications attached for the sum of $6~50.00
5id Nc.E, type 75 combination double tank chemicialengine and hose cart Like the 1st bid buts
second hand machine which had been used during the Panama Pacific Exposition for the sum of $5~00.00
Bid ~o. ~, one type no. 40 American LaFranoe double tank, chemical engine and hose cart for the sum
of ~?00.00
J. J. Schnerr, one six cylinder 8§ h.p. motor driven, combination chemical and hose wagon
with two A0 gal. chemical tanks together with other equipments me specified for the sum of $68B0.00
.Bid No.E from J. J. Schnerr one A cylinder 9J h.p. truck as per attach sp-oifications for the sum
of $61B0.00
The Segrave Company, one typeF, A cylinder BE h.p. truck fully equiped for the sum of w§?80.00
One type F ~ cylinder 80 h.p. fully equiped for the sum of $8100.00
The ¥~hite Truck Company one motor driven combination chemical engine and hose car~ as
per specifications a sixty h.p' engine for the sum of $6000.00 and one A8 h.p. engine truck
for the sum of $§B00.00.
The Lee one motor driven combination chemicial and hose cart as per specifications
for the 'sum ~e of SB~00.00,
Upon motion of Trustee Cunning-ham seconded by Trustee ¥,allace the matter of deciding upon
the purchase of z, he Fire Truck was laid over until Saturday when the Board would meet at 12:00
a, m. and then decide on which was the best truck
and referred to the City Engineer for action.
~ Communication was received from the South San Francisco School Districk referring to the
purchase of part of the Civic Centre Site for the building of a High School. The matter was

Upon motion of Trustee Cunnin~-ham seconded by Trustee Wallace the matter of deciding u$on
the purchase of ~he Fire Truck was laid over until Saturday wheh the Board would meet at 12:00
a. m. and then decide on which was the best truck

The following Resolution was then Introduced by Tr~ste~e Kelley
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Sout!~. San ~rancisco that the President
of said Board of Trustees and the City Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and directed
in behalf of said City of South San ~ranoisco to execute a contract with Pacific Gas & ~lectric
Company Sot lighting the streets of the City of South San Francisco
I hereby certify that the Foregoing Resolution was re~ularly introduced and adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San ~rancisco this Zrd day of April 1916, by the
following vote
