held Monday August 28, 1916. This meeting was called to order by Trustee J. H. Kelley president
of the Board.
Roll ca~l found the following Trustees present to-wit: M. F. Healy, G. H. Wallace and J.
H. Kelley.
Absent Trustees F. A. Cunningham and G. W' Holston.
Upon motion of Trustee Wallace seconded by Trustee Healy and regulsrly carried the reading
of the ~inEtes~o~ the previous meeting were dispensed with.
The following Resolution was then introduced by Trustee Healy.
Resolution Vacating Resolution of Intention No. 26.
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San ~rancisco that Resolution of
Intention No. 26 adopted by the Board of Trustees on the 14th day of May, 1916, be, and the same
hereby is vacated and set aside.

ITS INTENTION TO II~PROVE PORTIONS OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN GP~ND AVENUE i2~D NILLLR AVENUE AND PoRTIoN
OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN GRAND AVEI~UE ;,ND BADEN AVENUE.
Whereas public interest and convenience require ~hat the work and i~provement hereinafter
described should be done;
Now, therefore, resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Fra~isco tb~,t
it is the intention of s, aid Board to order the following work and improvement to be done in said
City t°-w~t:
~Tkat ith~t portion of the ,,alley between ~rand Avenue and ~Iiller Avenue, and included
between the easterly line of L~aple Avenue and the westerly li~ne of Linden Avenuem ahd that portio
of the.alley between Brand Avenue and ~iller Avenue and inClnded between the easterly line of Lin
Avenme and the westerly line of Cypress Avenue, and that portion of the alley between Grand A~enu
and Baden Avenue aud included between the easterly line of Maple Av~nueand the westerly line of

between the easterly line of Linden Avenue and the wester~y line of Cypress Avenue be improved b~

ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE PORTIONS 0F THE ALLEY BETWEEN GRAND AVENUE AND MILLER AVEi~E AND POR~IONS
OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN GRAND AVENUE AND BAD~ AVENUE.

described should be done;
Now, therefore, resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Framisco th~,t
it is the intention of ~aid Bosrd to order the following work and improvement to be done in said
City to-wit:
That:that portion of the alley between ~rand Avenue and ~[iller Avenue, and included
between the easterly line of Maple Avenue and the westerly line of Linden Avenuem ahd that portion
of the alley between ~rand Avenue and Miller Avenue and included between the easterly line of Lind
Avenue and the westerly line of Cypress Avenue, and that portion of the alley between Grand A~enue
and Baden Avenue and included between the easterly line of Maple Av~nueand the westerly line of
Linden Avenue, and that portion of the alley between Grand Avenue and Baden Avenue and included
between the eesterly line of Linden Avenue and the westerly line of Cypress Avenue be improved by
grading to officisl~grade and ,by constructing therein a concrete pavement having the width and
thickness shown upon the plans and specifications hereinafter referred to.
All work herein provided for shall be done to p£ficial grade and in accordance wi~hthe

and specifications for the improvement of s portion of the alley between~Grand'Avenue and Miller

plans hereto attached, which plans are made ~ ~art hereof" which Els. ns and specifications were
heretofore sd. opted by s~id Board of Trustees on the 15th day of Nay, 1916, and are now on file
in the office of'the City Clerk, and to which plans and specifications reference is hereby made
for a further descriotion of said work and for the location and extent of the-work to be done
hereunder.
Notice is hereby given'tha~ serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and bear
interest at the rate of (7) per cent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner specified
by the Improvement Bond A~t of 1915, the l~st installment~of'which bonds shall.maSure n~ne (9)
years from the second day of July next succeeding nine (9) months from their date.
"The Enterprise, a weekly newspaper printed and circulated in the City of South San
Prancisco ~s hereby designated as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall
be published and the Clerk is h6reby directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published
by.two (2) insertions in the manner and form required by law.
The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be conspicusuBly posted along the line of
.~said contemplated work and in front of all the property liable to be assessed at not more than
three hundred (S00) feet in distance part but not not less than (~) In all in each alley, notices
of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in tha manner and form required by the "Improvement
Act of 1911," sn~ amendments hereto.
Notice i~ ~ereby given that on ~ondsy the 18th day of September, 1916, at the hour of
eight o'clock p.m. in the Council Chamber of said Board of Trustees of the City-of-~outh
Prancisco, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvement may appear
Before said Board of Trustees and show cause whysaid p~oPos~d work and improvement should not be
carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Except Ss hereinbefore provided all of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance
of an act of the Legislature of the State of C~.lifornia, desiFnated as the "Imporvemont Act of
1911," approved April ?th, 1911, and amendments theretO.
