H. Kelley President of the Bos~rd. Roil call found the following Trustees present to wit: F. A. Cunningham, ~. F. He~ly, G. W. Holston, G. H. Wallace and J. H. Kelley. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and ~pon motion of ~. A. Cunningham seconded ~. F. He~ly ~nd regularly carried were ~pproved as read. A comm~mication was received from Pas. Tel. & Tel. Co asking for a return of special deposit of $£~ for tearing up alley between Gr~nd and ~den Ivenues, also a communication from P. Oiff~a asking for the return of $8 for tearing up alley between Grand and Miller Avenues. The City Engines h~ving reported that the alley in beth cases hsd been ~ut back in a satisfactory manner. Moved by Trustee Wallace seconded by Trustee Holston and reo~ularl¥ carried ths. t the ammounts above hamed be returned. A petition was received from J. L~onize to hold a boxing contest on June 25. Upon motion of Trustee %~sllace seconded by Trustee Cunningham and regulerly carried the permit was granted. A communication was received from ~. Hy!snd Secetary of the Fraternal Hall Association asking that the Fire House located on the lot of the Association Lot ~8 Block 117 be removed. The matter was qreferred %o the ,?treet Commission for action. A communication wmclesing form of resolution adopted by qo~rd ~f Trustees of Hillsborough was received from the City Clerk of that City, said. resolution bein~ adopted by the Cit~ ef Hillsborough on M~y 22, 1917, for ~he purchase of $5000 of Liberty Bonds. The communication was ordered placed o file. A complaint was received from Cityn M~rshall Conrad against John Colombo for operating his pl~ of business on June 16~h after ?:00 o'clock p.m. being contrary to orders of ~oard of ~irustees. The complaint was placed on file snd action thereob postphoned un%il first meeting in July. An application for a Class ~ liquor license fro:~ Colombo and Curti was then re~d. i~eved b~ · rustee Hesly ~econded by Trustee Holsten ~nd re.gularlv carried the ~pplication was laid ~.~ver until first meeting in july. An a~plicstion was received from S. ~inetti znd P. Giffra for a Class B. Liquor license st 228 Gr~nd Avenue. It bein~ contrcry to the provisions of Ordinance No. 59 the applicstion was denied.
