held Monday, July, 15, 1917.
This meeting was ca~]ed to order at 8' o clock ?.5~. ,by Trustee J.H. Kelley "President ~
of the Board".
Ho]l c~.l] fo~knd the following Trustees, present, to wit;
F.A. C~nnin~ham, M.F. Healy, Geo. H. W~2lace and J.H. Kelley.
Absent Trustee G.W. Holston.
The minutes o£ the prev'~ous meeting were read and,upom motion of Trustee Healy second~
by Trustee Wallace and regularly carried were approved as read.
A Pettiion for a boxing permit to hold a contes$ on Jul2 J0, 1917, was received from
J.L1onize.
Moved by Trustee Wallace seconded by Trustee Cunningham that the permit be granted.
Carried
A communication was received from Frem~ A. Martin asking for a permit to remodel his
building at $224 Grand Avenue .
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy that the permit be granted.
Carried
A communication was received from Jno. Colombo and James Curti asking for an extention ~
three months in which to dispose of their stock of liquor in the Baden Hotel.
Moved b.¥ Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Wallace that the communication be laid n
on the table.
Carried
It being called to t he attention of the Board of Trustees of the existence of e case
of s~all pox in the city ,Trustee Cunningham was instructed to take charge of the mater
with full power to act.
The following demands against th e City were presented foer payment the same having been
approved by the finance committee.
W. Burns sweeping streets
W.J. Smith Postage stamps and P.O. Box rent
SO. S.F. W~ter Co. water for Jail and drinking fountain
Western Sand and Rock Co. for repairing ~ission Road
Haaker & Ratto insurance on motor cycle
Herman G~erdes four lanterns purchzsed by City Lt~rshal
M.E. Ryan electric bracket amd installing same
