Regular Meeting og the .Board o£ Trustees of the City of South. S~n Franeislo
held, Monday, August 20th. 1917. .' ~
This Meeting was cs]led to order at 8' ~ eloeE P.M.~ by Trustee J.H. Kelley "President of
the Board".
Roll-call

Absent Trustees None.
The minutes of the previous meeting were MeAd an~ up0n:::me~ion of ~fr~stee Healy.seconded by Tru~
tee Holston and regularly carried were approved as read. '
~ Petition was received from the Pae. Gas & E. Co. ~,titioning the Board to set poles as per
blue print #15Z R. attached to the petition. ~
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Wallace that the permission be granted.
Permission to set poleson on Loeust Avenue· as per blue print $152 was also ~sked bF the Pac.
Gas & Electric Co-. whieh permission was denied,the s~id Locust Avenue being a private street of
the ~outh S~n Franeiseo L~nd and Improvment Co.
A ¢or~munieation was received from the California State Automobile assoeiation acknowledgin~
order of fourteen signs ~nd stating same would be installed on arrival.
The communication was ordered placed on file.
A communication was received from T. ihern acknowledging receipt of communication concerning
bad condition of Railroad crossings in South San Francisco, and stating the matter would be
attended to at once.
The communication w~s ordered placed on file.
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy that the City Engineer be instructed to
prepare plans for a sidewalk on San Br~mo Road from Armour Avenue to Pa~kinson Property and on
Butler Road from S~n Bruno Road to S.P. Co. right of way.

Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Wallace that Trustee Healy be instructed to
interview the City Recorder in regards to status of case ag~instCochrane & Co. for violation
of ~City ordinance.

Moved by Trustee Healy seconded by Trustee Holston that the szlary of the night watchman be
increased to $90.00 per month.
Motion carried
The City Clerk was instrueted to request the Pac. Gas & Electric Co. to turn on street lights
one hour earlier in evening and ~n~n!~o~f ~n*~hour later in morning.
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy that the sum of $190. be paid to nurse who
took care of the small pox ~atient at the CoUnty Hospital.

The following demands against the City were presented for payment the same having been approved
by the finance committee.

in Said City."Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco on
the 4th. day of January,1909., had its secon reading and upon roll-call was adopted as an 0rd
inanee of the City of South San Franeisco,by the following vote;
