Emerick be a~mointed Fire Chief. The communication wes received and placed on file. It was moved b.7 ~Tru~ W~::llace seconded by Trustee Hea~:? that E. R. Eme~ick be appointed Chief of Fire Department. Motion Carried. ~ communication was received from the City Clerk of San Bruno relating to conso':idat of municipalities in the fight against the P.G.&E.Co. for an increase in rates. The City Clerk was instructed to ansv~,r the communication ss~ing that we had already signified out intention joining other municipalities in said fight. A complaint was received fret:, the Cit3f Marshak][ against S. Gianelli 220 Grand Avenue Said comy]aint being ag~:.inst women tending bar at the above number. Trustee Holston the application be denied being in conflict with the State Law. Motion Carried. A communication was received fro,.: the Schaw Batcher Pipe Works asking that Butler be widened and ~ut in ?acable condition so that trucks ~nd other vehicles c,;uld get tossaid City Clerk was instructed to write to the South S~n ranc~.,?co Land and Impromemt Co, as t,, obta: the dedication of Butler Ro~d so that CitT Trustees wuuld have jurisdiction to m~.ke the necessa: repairs. It was moved b?,~ Trustee Holston seconded b? Trustee Heal;;~ that the Cit.~:' Clerk commun icate wihh the Fouth San Francisco Water Co and s~,..~n? that additional fire h~fdrants be install at the Schaw Batcher Plant smd also the Edwards Wire Co Pignut. Carried. A verbal ~rotest was received NFothe Board from Mr. N.A. Backer a~ainSt installin~s s~nitsry sewer bY district he being in favor of a bond issue f:~r the installation of said s~.nit sewer.
