Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City og South San Franeiseo
held Monday, July ,let. 1918.
This meeting was called to order et 8 o cloak p.m.,by Trustee G.W. Holston

Roll-sail
Roll call found the following Trustees present,to wit;
F.A. Cunningham,I. J. Esehelbaeh, M~F.. Healy, an d G.W. Holston.
Trustee Kelley appeared after roll-call
The minutes of the previous meeting were read ang upon motion of Trustee Xelleyseconded ~7
Trustee Cunninghsm and regularly carried were approved as read.
An application to set poles'was received from the Pae. Gas & Electric Co. and was referred
to the Publie Utility Committee.

Moved by Trustee Kelley seeonded by Trustee Cunningham that let M~nday of A~gust be set as
the date of hearing of the application of W~lliam Markt..

MOved by Trustee~Esehelb~eh seconded by Trustee Kelley that the City ~ttorney be instructed
to draw an ordinsnee ammending Jitney ordinance so
ss a surety instead of an in demnity bond as at present.

An application to run through and over the streets of the City of South San Francisco was rec~
from the Peninsula Motor Truck Express Co., and uponmotion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by
Trustee Hesly and regularly carried the let M~nday of August was set as the date of hearing
of the above application.
A communication w~s received from Supervisor Hiekey asking that'our city Engineer be inStruc~
to make a survey of the route for the proposed new roaA~ to connect ~lth highway at ~aley City
A connunieation was received from Night Watchman Henry Me Grew asking for an increase in salary.
of twenty five dollars per month.
Moved by Trurtee Kelley seconded by Trustee Cunningham th~ the increase be granted beginning
July 1,1918.

-The following demands against the City were presented
the finanee committee.

John Foley Attending fire
Warren R. Emeriek attending fire
H. Mc Grew fees as City Harshal
Edward M. Vunk watching small pox patient
William Hogan watching small pox patient
Enterprise Press supplies
Pa~. Gas & Electric Co. current for City Hall
Dr. Leo J. Flanagan vaccinations
Dr. T.C. Doak attention to indigents ~1

The reports of City officers for the month of June were then read, the report of the City
Clerk showed the fo]lowing balances.
General Fund $1,450. L~brary Pund 1347.69 City Hall ~und $1,922.48 Weed Fund $190.53
Sinking ~und $$~4. Imp~ovment Bonds "A" ~93.09 "B"?0.36 "C" 243.22 "D" 859.11 "E" 47.95
The report of the Treasurer checked with that of the City Clerk The report of the City'Recorder
showed that the sum of Twenty two Dollars had been received through his offiee dueing the month
of June ]9?8,for which he enclosed check,the report of the City Health officer was also received
showing that the ease of smallpox in City during month of J~ne had beenehecked without a spread
of the disease,also reported having atten4ed 265 Children during the fiscal year ending June 30,
1918.
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by T~stee Kelley th~ the reports of all City officers
received at this meeting be accepted and filed.
