Regular meetin~ of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco held
Monday March Z, 1919. This neeting was ca!led to order at ~ O'clock p.rn. by Trustee G. W.
Ho]ston President of the ~oard. Roll Call found all Trustees present to ~it:

The minutes of t~.e previous meeting w~re read and u~on motion of Trustee Kelley
seconded by Trustee iIea]y and regu]ar!y carried were a~proved as read.
A petition was received fr~..,m E. It. Lewis to install a tank for storage of gasolino
to t?e capacity of ~]05 Gallons, on the Tibbetts property, on San Bruno Road. Moved by
Trustee Hesly seconded by Trustee Kelley and re~a]arly carried that the ?ermission be grant-
ed subject to the provisions of all 0rdinsnces of t}:e City of South San Francisco.
~n application w~'s received from 2:. Castiglio for permission to install a gasoline
tank to the. capacity of 445 gallons, located in front of Lot ~,0 ° ~ Block 147. Moved by Trus-
tee Cunnin~hsm seconded by Trustee Kelley and regularly carried that the permission be grant-
ed.
A communication was received from i-terbert P., Tyson asking for an answer as to
wketlner the Cit,,./ was~ going to clear the roots from his sewer. The communication was ordere5
p]sced on file.
A communication was received from the Secretary of League of California L~unicipal-
ities asking t?,-at the Board enaorse a bill before the Legislature of California whit;: pro-
vides for s share of the motor license tax of tko .Ttate of California, for ~:'aniciT~a]ities.
The City Clerk was instr~cted to communi, ate w~th Assemblyman E~ard and ~enator
Johnson and request them to vote for the passage of this bill.
A communication was received from William J. S~.itb Ciii,' Clerk wherein he pres-
ented ~o the Board 8f Trustees~ his~resignatiOn as Clerk of~ the,.City of South San Francisco.
It was moved by Trustee Kelley seconded by Trustee Cunningham that the resignation of the
City Clerk be laid over until some future time to be taken up at the pleasure of the Board
of Trustees.
The reports of City Officers for tl~,e month of February were then read.
The report of the City Clerk showed the following balances.
General Fund.
Library Fund.
Sinking Fund.
City Hall Fund.
Weed Fund.
Street Improvment Bonds Series

The report of the City Treasurer checked with that of the City Clerk.
The report of ~he Fire I'~arshall showed that one small fire had occured during the month
of February with no damage done.
Moved by Trustee Kelley sedonded by Trustee Cunningham that the reports of a]l City
Offi~eres .received atthis meeting be accaepted and fi!ed.

A representstive of the Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Company appeared before the
Board at this time and presented a statement of the estimated cost of a fire alarm system
for the ~ity of ~out~ San Prancisco which statement was received and ordered filed.
Eoved by True, tee Healy seconded by Trustee Cunningham that the Board adjourn until
?~onday ~.~rch 10, 1919 to meet at Z10 Linden Avenue at 8 o'clock p.m. Carried.
