The minutes of the Two previo~:s meetings were ~ead and upon motion of Trustee
Esche~bach ~econde8 b~; Trustee Healy and. regularly carried were approved as read.
A communication w~s received from Chas F. Schurk askin~ for the position of
Ei,ectrica] Inspector. The comm~mication was ordered filed until an Ordinance would be
drawn up creating the office of electrical inspector.
An application for s rermit to conduct a public dance on the night of April E6,1919
~nd until 4 a.m. of April ~7, 1919 was received from the Panama Pacific Exposition ~odge
No. 5, ~nd ~,on motion of Trustee Cunnin:~ham seconded by Trustee Eschelb~c~: and regular'IF
carried the permit was ~ranted.
A communication w~s received fror: Frank L. Eksward in receipt of one from the City
Clerk relating to Assembly Bill No. 147 and Senate Bill No. 105, Mr. Ekswsrd stated that
he :~'ould do ail in his Dower to further the passage of the said bills. The communication
was ordered placed on file.
T'~e City Clerk was instructed to communicate with the South San Francisco Lsnd and
Improvment Co~n?sny req~esting them to have Orange Ave between Grand and ;,iiller and Grand
Avenue between Orange ~:nd EucslyptusAvenues, cleaned of the sand on the said streets, which
was c~used by the rain washing sand banks on their property into the streets.
The followinE demands against the City were presented for pal~.~ent the same having been
approved by the finance committee.

Moved by Trustee Healy seconded by Trustee Cunningham that the above demands be paid
and warrants drawn for the various amo~;nts.
