The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and ,on motion of Trustee Kelley,seconded by
Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried, were approved as read.

~e~aaor ~ne publisher of ~e Enterprise",dated June 9th.,1919, testifying and certifying to
the publication of ordinance No. 105 in all respects as i~i~?.oM$i~a~ce No. 10~ required,and in
all respects as required by law,which said affidavit was bY-the BOard found to be in due and regular
form. Said afffidavit was then placed on file.
The City Clerk then presented to ~aid Board of Trustees'all the;returns of'and'£zom the speCial e
election held in said City of South San ~rancisco on s~id 10 the day of June ,1919. and which said
returns were examined and inspected by said Board and by them found to be in all respects in regular
and proper form.
On motion of Trustee Kelley seconded by Trustee Cunningham .O..~~ ~a~rie$:~:~$-~ai~o~ders~ that
~,he~nmrdfp~.~eee~,a~d~$he Board did thereupon proceed to canvass and did canvass said returns in
public by opening a~i~t~:L~d canvassing and counting the vote for and against the three prop-
ositions vote~upon ~t said election.
Whereupon Trustee Eechelbach introduced the following resolution,to-wit;

Whereas. at a special election held in the Cit~cof South San Francisco on Tuesday,the 10th. day of
June.1919,pursuant to the provisions of ordinance No. lo~ of said City of South San Francisco.the
number of vot~e voting,and the whole number of votes cast in South San Francisco ~mnicipal Election
Precinct No.1 were 3SO,and_that of said number of votes 2~? were cast for and in favor of accepting
proposition numbered one,to-wit: The proposition to incur a bonded indebtidness of $84,000.00 in
Gold Coin of t4e United States of America for the object and purpose of acquireing $conStructing,
and completing'by the City of South San Francisco,a municipal corporation,$ city hall and the grad-
ing of the Civic Center Sitein sail in said City".and that of said whole number of votes so castin
South S~n Francisco Municipal Precinct No. 1, 69 votes were cast against the adoption of said prop-
ositio~ numbered one; and
Whereas at said special election,of said whole number of votes cas~ in 8outh San Francisco ~mnicipal
ElectiOn Precinct No. 1,254 votes were cast for and in favor of and accepting the proposition num-
bered ~wo,to-wit: The proposition "to incur a bonded indebtidness of $35,000.00 in Gold Coin of
the United States of America for the object end purpose of acquiring,constructi~ and completing
by the'City of South San Francisco,a municipal corpOration.a system of sewers far thatportion of
said City lying on the 'O$sterly aide of the westerly boundary line of San Bruno Road",and that of
said wh61e number of votes so cast in South San Francisco Municipal Election PrecinSt No. 1,71 votes
were cass against the adoption of said propositioh; and

No. 1,278 votes were cast for end in favor of and accepting the proposition numbered three,to -wit:

proposition numbered one ; and
Whereas, of said total vote,BAS were cast in favor of said proposition numbered two and accepting
the same, and that of said vote 91 votes were cast against the adoption o~ said proposition; and
Whereas.of said toSal vote ~69 votes were cast in favor of said proposition numbered three and
~ccepting the same.and that of said total vote 6A votes were cast against the adoption of said prop-
osition; and
Whereas the number of votes cast at st said special election for and in favor of said prop~sition

all votes cast at said special election,and said votes for and in favor of accepting the said propoS

The following resolution of award of contract was then introduced by Trustee Healy. No. ~5
RESOLUTION OF ~WARD
Whereas the /Board of Trustees of the City of ~uth Stn Francisco did,in open-session on the
16~h day of June,1919, publicly open examine and declare all sealed proposal~ or bids for doing
the following work in said City to-wit;
That Walnut Acenue between the north line of Grand Avenue and the south line of Miller Avenue
be graded to official grade from gutter edge to gutter edge : that a cement concrete pavment
be constructed therein for the f~ll lenght thereof,,from gutter edge to gutter edge.
