November 3, 1919. This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. by Trustee Holston President (
the Board. of Trustees.

Roil-Call found t~e~-~~g Trustees present to wit:
A. J. Eshelback, M. F. Healy, J. H. Kelley, G. W. Holstcn. F. A. Cunningham.
An application to Set poles as per blue print $321-R was received ~rom the Pac Gas & Elec. Ce,
Upon motion of Trustee Cunningham, seconded by Trustee Kelley and regularly carried, was referred t¢
the Street Committee for action, the same afterwards was approved by said committee.
a Communication was received from the Chamber of Commerce protesting against moving the fire
truck from South City Garage where it is now~Stored~
An application was received ~rom Gratoro! & Castigiio, for houseing the fire apparatus if a
change took place.
A petition was also received from AZ L~Weber of the South City Garage asking that the truck
stored at its present location. All $ommu~icatinns regarding fi~ truck was ordered placed on file,
and as the matter had been disposed of on October 27th. by placing storage of fire truck in Garage
E. H. Lewis, no action toward a change was taken by the Board.
A communication was received from the Sam Mate~ County Division Com~unlty Council, asking for
donation of one-hundered dollars toward a home comming celebration to the Soldiers of San Matez Coun
Moved by Trustee Cunningham, seconded by Trustee Healy that the City ~lerk be instructed ~o notify
Committee that they believe the County Board of SupervisOrs should pay all the expense of the propos
celebration.
A communication was received from W. J. Hyland, discharged soldier of South San Francisco, ask
for exemption of City taxes on account sf service in the U. S. Army. Moved by Trustee Cunningham,
seconded by trustee Kelley that a~he time of exemption claim had passed, a refund of the amount of
same be granted after payment o~$~applicant. Motion carried.
Moved by Trustee Eshelback, s~conded by Trustee Kelley'that W. J. Tobin be paid 75% of the amc
.of his sewer contract whic~ had been completed~according to the certificate of the City Engineer, an
that W. J. Tobin also be alowed the sum of $36.00 for extra work installing ¥ branches in sewers.
Motion Carried.

Report of the City Recorder showed that the sum of $29.00 hsd been received for the month of
October, for which he enclosed check.
Reports of the City Health Officer, and Chief of the Fire Department and City Marshal were al
received. Moved by Trustme Ounnin~ham_se~onded by Trustee Kelley that reports of ~11 City Officers
received at this m~e~lng ce accep~a aha xz±ea.
Moved by Trustee Cunningham, seconded by Trustee Healy that the City Attorney be instructed t
receive sll nesessary datta to start condemnation proceedings towards securing lot near Civic Center
~for the Erection of a new,City Hall Building. Motion Carried.
The following resolution was introduced by Trustee Kelley, $ 34.
IN THE MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF SPRUCE AVENUE, PINE ~ERRACE, WALNUT AVENUE, L~X AVENUE, AND PARK WAY.
RESOIJJTION APPROVING DIAGRAM.
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City o f South San Francisco, that the diagram subm
by the City Engineer of said City on the ~rd day of November, 19!9, of the property affected or bebe
by regrsding and the construction of pavement and culverts in Spruce Avenue, Pine Terrace, Walnut Av
Lux Avenue, And Park Way, in said city of South San Francisco, as described in resolution of Intenti
passed ~nd adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco on the 29th day of Ma
and to be assessed to pay the expenses of said work, be, and the same hereby is approved by said
Board of Trustees, and the City Clerk of said City of South San Francisco is hereby directe~ to cert
to the fact and date of suck spproval and he is also directed t~ deliver said diagram so approved to
Superintendent of Streets of said City:
