Regular bleeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South. San Francisco,
held Monday,Janusry,~,1920.
This meeting was ca31ed to order at 8' 0'c!®ok p.m.,by Trustee G.W. Holston "President
of the Board."
Roll-call
Roll call found the following Trustees present,to-wit;
F.~. Cunninghsm, A.J. Eschelbsch,M.F. Healy, J.H. Ke~leyand G.W. Holston.
Absent Trustees None
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon ~otion of Trustee Kelley seconded
by Trustee Cu~ningham and regularly carried were approved as read.
A communication was received from the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco, notify-
ing th~s Board of Trustees that a conference ~ould be held in the Finance cor. m~ittee room of the
Cit.v Hall in San Francisco,at Z P.M. J~nuary ~O,]glg,for the purpose of devising method of fire
pro~ection for all Towns on the Peninsula,and asking the Cit~~ of South San Francisco,to p~rticipste
by sendin~ a representative to the conference.
."fove~ by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy that the Chairman of the Board Trustee ,J.W.
Holston be requested to attend the conference as the representative of South San Fraz~cisco.

This being the date for the reception of bids for ~he construction and completion of s City Hall
it was moved by TrusteeKe!ley seconded by Trustee Ct~nningham that all bids received be opened.
The following bids were then opened and read.
Lateen ~ampson Co.$9~,~9. Hayes 0sar Co ~10Z,957. Lang and Bergstrom~l16,687.

of terra cotta Lng and Bergstrom ~eduction of ~10,~O0. Hayes and Oser Co. reduction of $ 15,900
Larsen S~mpson Co. reduction of ~lO,O00.
Upon the offer of Larsen Sampson Co. to allow their bid to ~e accepte8 by the Board of Trustees
any time within thirty ~0) days in order to give the City of South San Franclsce ample time
to dispose of their City Hall Bonds, the Board ordered the certified checks of all bidders except
Larsen and Sampsen to be returned, and retained the check of Larsen and sampsen Co. in compliance
with their thirty ~ZO) dsys offer.
A Committee of the American Legion appeared before the Board of Trustees and asked t~at a suitable
memorial to the me:cry of the so~diers of South S~n Francisco who ~a~ the supreme sacrifice in the
world war be erected in front of the ~wposed new City Hall.
_bIoved by Tr~stee Kelley seconded by Trustee Eschelbach that a committee of the Board of Trustees be
appointed to meet with a cor:mittee of the American Legion and ascertain what would be most suitable
prices Etc.

l/~r E. ~.eed Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce asked the Board of Trustees to investigate the nec-
essity for a street light at the corner of San Bruno and Butler Road.
The street committee w~re instructed to look into the matter at once.

work,be, and the same hereby is a~pr~ved by said Board of Trustees,and the City Clerk of said City
of South San Francisco is hereby ~irected Zo certify to the fact and date of such approval and he is
also directed to deliver said diagram so approved to the Superintendent of Streets of said City.
I hereby certify thai the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
Board of ~rustees of the City of ~outh S~:n F~.anciscothis 19th day of January,1920,by the following
vote;
