Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City o£ B~uth San Francisco
held Monday April,5th. 1920.
This meeting was called to order at 8' 0 clock p.m.,by Tru,~tee G.~~. Holston
"President of the Board".
Soil-call
Rollcall found the following Trustees,present,to-wit;
F.A. C nningham, A.J. Eschelbach,J.H. Kelley end G.W. Holston.
Absent ~rustees M,F. Sealy
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Kelley seconded by
Trustee Eschelbach,and regularly carried were approved es read.
A petition was received from the Hotel keepers of the north end of Town ,asking that something
be done to abate tli~.w nuisance of cows running over sidewalks.
The.City ~ttorney was ~nstructed to ammen~ the ordinance against stock running at large, so
that ellstock must be kept in ~n incl3sure at all times,
A petition wes received from the associated Italian societies of South San Francisco,asking
that they be permitted to hold a carnival in South San Francisco,for the benefit of a new
Italian hospital for S~n Francisco.
A petition wes ~lso received fron the Loyal Order Moose ~,"king that they be permitted to hold
a carnival in South San Francisco.
~S the dates asked for conflicted with each other, It was moved by Trustee Eschelbach seconded
by Trustee Kelley,that e committee be appointed to investigate the m~tter.

The Chairman then appointed Trustees Cunningham and Eschelbach to investiSate and report at h
the next meeting of the Board.
A communication was received from Peter Pala ,wherein he complained that the sidewalk which
he had paid for on San Bruno Reed had been w~shed out.
The m~tter was referred to the Street Committee.
A communication was received from ~cott & Company of San Franctsco,a,,'king that permission be
granted them to install a 1500 Gal. 0il storage tank for the storage of fuel oil at the new
City Hell at South San Francisco.
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Kelley that the permission be granted.

A communication was roceived from Welfare and Public Health commission of San Mateo County
asking the scope of Miss Rackels work in South San Francisco.
i~oved by Trustee Cunninghsm seconded by Trustee Eschelbach that the City Clerk be instruc
ted to infor~ the orgznization that Miss Rackel's work was general throughout the Town.

A communication was received from the Manufasturers association of South S~n Francisco
asking that a boulevard and Park Commission be a,rpointed by the Board of Trustees,to plant
trees,
The communication was t~ken under ~dvisment by the Bo~rd.
The reports of City officers for the month of I,Iarch were then read,the report of the City
Clerk showed the following balances.

The report of the City Recorder showed that the sum of Seventeen (17) Do~!srs had been collec-
ted throuFh his office tilting the ,,_:3nth c,f ;,~arch for which he enclosed check.

for the month of _Zarch be accepted.

The City CT~erk wa~' o instructed to co?:~::unicate with the Pioneer
E:,:press Company and inform them
that the City of South San Francisco exE:ected them to raj:lace the drinking fountain at the
corner of Grand and Linden Avenues,which was destroye~ by their truck recently.
zhe City Clerk was ~nsrructed to address a commum~,cation to t~e Friesly Air ?lane Company
and ask that a parking s~,ace be ~rovided for euto~.obiles visiting their aviation field.
Trustee Eschelbach,and regularly carried were approved as reaa.
