Regularly adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco
held Friday, April 23, 1920. ~~-~'~.~.
The meetihg was called to order at 8 ~ ~k'-p.m. by Trustee Q.W. Holston President of the Board.
Roll Call
Roll call found ~und. the following Trustees present, to-wit:
A.J. Eschelbach. H. Scampini and G.W. ~olston.
Absent Trustee Cunningham. ~- ·
Trustee L.G. Hard ppeared after roll-call.
The report of the auditor W.F. Gildert who had been inspecting the Citys books was read.
He stated he found the records o£ the City Clerk and Treasurer correct.from June 30, 1918 to presen
date. He stated.th~Clerk Smith had overpaid the City by $7.67 and recommended that the city issue
a refund warran~ to cover amount.
The amounts included License account $3.00

ge also stated that there were 3 old warrants outstanding which shoula be cleared by cancellation o
re-issue as ~ney must have been lost. T~ey are:

The following resolution was~introduced by Trustee A.J. Eschelbsch
Whereas bonds numbered 163 and 164 of the Municipal Improvement Sewer Bonds of the City of
South ~an l~rancisco, each in the amount of $1000 dated A~g~st 1, 191~ have never been issued or
Whereas the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco does not desire to issue said

The Resignation of W.J. Smith as Deputy Tax Collector was tendered and on the motion of Trustee
A.J. Esche~bsch seconded by Trustee E. G. Hardy Jr. was accepted.
The following resolution was introduced by Trustee ~.G. Hardy Jr.
Resolve~ by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that Daniel McSweeney~be,
and he hereby is appointed Deputy Tax Collector of the City of South San Francisco and that his ~ls
be fixed at Eighty-~ive Dollars ($85.00) per month that said appointment becomes affective as soon
as said Daniel McSweeney shall.file with said Board of Trustees~ satisfactory bond in the sum of
Fifteen Thousand Dollars $1~000.00) conditioned for the faithful performs, nce o~ the duties of his
office.
