The minutes of the pre~iou~ meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach
secon~e~ by Trustee Cunningham and regularly carried were aDpreve~ as read.

South San Francisco for the construction of a soy:er system east of Sawn Bruuo

An ordinance entitled "An ordinance of the City of South San Francisco prohibiting
persons under the ~ge ~ fourteen ~rs from appearing upon or traveling u~oon any street highway,
avenue , or alleY,or ~ny~erpubllc .place, $~$~$$~ within' the Czty' of South San~Francisco after' the ho~
of 9 o'clock P.~.of any day" was introduced for '~ ~rst reaSing~by~T~stee Eschelb~ch.
The following resolution was introduced by Trustee Ecsmpini:-
REsolved by the Board of Trustees of the ~_~ of South San Francisco that P.Pala be,and
hereby is granted permission to repairthe first two stories of the Central Hotel at the corner oJ
San Bruno Road end Lux Avenue in said City, provided that s~id ~.Pala shall erect as a south wal~l
of sa~.~ building a wall at least eight inches in thickness which shall be constructed of beick,
stone or concrete for the full length of said building end.for the height of the two existing
stories of said hotel building; and provided further that the portion of s~id hotel ~eJecting
over Division street shall be removed; and provided further th&t said P.?ala. in the reconstructi(
of s~id hotel building, shall in a~ respects comply with the provisions of that certain act of
the Legislature of the ~ate of California entitled "An act to re~late the erection, constructio~
recomstruction, moving , alteration, maintenance, use and OCQupancy of hotels, and the maintensnc~
use-and occupancy of the premises and l~nd on which hotels are erected or located, in all parts oJ
the State of California,inclUding incorporated towns,incorporated cities, incorporated cities
and counties, and to provide penalties for the violation thereof; and repealing an act entitled '~
act to regulate the building and occupancy of hotels and lodging - houses in incorporated <.towns,
incorporated cities, and cities and counties, and to provide pen~lties for the violation thereof,'
approved June the I6, I913, Statutes of California, of I913,, page I429," approved May 3Ist., IgI~
in so far as said act is applicable to hotel buildings already erected.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City if South San Francisco this 2Ist., day of June, I920, by
the following vote; --
Ayes, Trustees F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach, L.G.Hardy,Jr., H. Scampini,G.W.Holston.
Noes, Trustees None .
Absent, Trustees None.

Attention being called to the conSition of the Biagini building on the San Bruno Road
the C~erk was instructed to write to Mr. Biagini and ask him to have the same removed.
Trustee Hardy stated that the local cor service was very unsatisfactory ~nd not what
the public had expected when the new time schedule was inaugurated. President Holston appointed a
committee of two, consisting of F.A.Cunningham smd L.G.Hardy,Jr., to confer with the United Rail-
roads and endeavor to secure better service.
Antone Bildhauer a~peared before the Board and asked to have his poolroom license
transferred from his present location to ~I9 Grand Ave. A request for this transfer at a previous
had been denied. The Woman's Club of this City serifa communication to the Board petitioning the
to take no action thst would tend to increase the number of poolrooms in the City. After conside
discussion it was moved by Trustee Eschelbach, seconded by Treuste¢ Cunningham that the matter b
let drop. Motion carried.
The followin demands against the City were presented for payment:-
