Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the 0try of ~outh San Francisco,held Monday,
July the 6th., I920. at $I0 Linden Ave.,
The meeting was called to o~der ay 8, d'clock P.M; by Trustee Holsto~, Pr~ident of the
Board.
Roll Call. , ·
Roll call found all Trustees present to-wit;-
F.A.Cummingham, A.J.Eschelbach, L.G.Hardy Jr.,H.Soampini. and ~.W.~olston.
The minutes of the previous-~eet~ng were read and upon motion of~:Trustee Cunningham
seconded by Trustee Scampini and regularly carried were approved as read. '
A communication was received from the Woman's Club asking the Board 'to lavestigate~the
matter of an ordinance for the destruction of weeds, similar to the one adopted by the stere of
California. The Board was of the opinion that the adoption oo~_ such a measure would be
cumbersome upon the assessment.roll,end instructed the Clerk t~notifY the loman's Club.
A csmmunicetion was received from C.T.C0~NOLL¥ asking for a renewal of the ~ee~se
poolroom license in his building, ~7 ~ran~ Ave; Upon motion of TruStee'Cunningham seconded"
by .Trustee Eechelbach the license w~s granted.. _~_ _ .
A communication wasreceived from the United of San Francisco, stating they were enclosing
voucher for$§I$.5?to cover percentage of gross receipts of the ~outh San Francisco Railroad
&-Power Co. for the year ended April the 2ISt., 19~0.due under ordinance ~66. Accepted&filed.
° Mrs. Jubilina Jeffrich pettitioned the Board for permission to construct a garage of wood
onthe rear of her lot ~2~ block I24. Trustee Scampinim moved to gra~,t a temporary permit
for one year, provided a roof of corrigated iron was put on. Trustee Esc~elbach seconded the
motion. Regularly Carried. ~
Trustee Cunningham reported that the 77 hydrants could be painted 2 coats ~or the sum of
$95.00. On motion of Trustee Eschelbach seconded by Trustee Scampini, Trustee Cumningham
wes instructed to orde.r the work done.
Trustee Scampini stated that a light was missing on Cypress avenue near the ally between
Gran~ and Baden Aves. Referred to the street committee. The street committee was also instructed
to see why a light was not put in the H[gh School Park, as previously ordered.
The committeeappointed at a previous meeting to confer with the United Railroads on the be-
tterment of the car service, reported through Trustee ttardy that General ~r Ven Pohl
of the car c~mpanysaid there ~as not much chance ~at t'he present time of g&ttt~better service.
Mr. Von ?ohl said he had been thinking of pu~ting ~1: the old schedule, in fact.
A communication was rece£ved from Mrs. Mary'Necete, asking permission to open up a. shooting
gallery on Grand Ave. On motion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by True'tee Eschelbach th.~t the
and regularly carried the request was denied.
Report of City Officers.
The reports of the City Officers ~ ..... =~:~ for the month of June were then read. The

the City Recorder showing collections for fines, ere,S2?.00.
Moved by Trustee Cu~ningham seconded by Trustee Scampini that the reports be accepted and
filed. Carried. ·
Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee ttardy that the sum of $I500.00 be paid
to the architects cf the ~ity Hall, lerner & Coffey. Carried.
