372 Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco, held Monday evening November the lst., 1920'at 510 Linden ave. The meeting was called to order at 8 O'clock, P.m. by ~.W.Holston, President of the Board Roll Call. Roll call found ~ll Trustees present, to-wit;- F.~.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbech, L.G.Hardy, Jr., H.Scampini, G.W.Holston. The minutes of the previous~ meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Hardy and regularly carried were approved. A communic~tion was received from Celeste C~ ppelini owner of lot 25 block 100, map of South San Francisco, stating that no house a~pears upon his property and 'asked for a refund of the differenge. Accepted and the matter to be investigated. B.H.Truax submitted a communication to the Board asking for a part of the insurance on the New City Hall. Laid over till a future meeting. A communication was received from NR. and Nra. Joe Lema stating that they were assessed for a house on lot 18 block 135, for some years past, and asked for a refund of $5.88. As there has been no house on this property for some years the Board granted the request. Larson-Sampson Co. no~ified the Board that they were ready to hook to the electrical service Nonday morning Nov. the lat., and asked the Board's immediate attention to the matter. The matter was referred to President Holston for action. Larson - Sampson Co. submitted a proposal to install the concrete gutter and surfacing the ground adjacent thereto with 3" concr'ete slob, the 6" driveway slab, 4" concrete slab connecting main stairway and curb and all concrete retaining wall with cement plaster finish, a~d aEreed to t take care of any additional work on sidewalks at the rate of 20 cents per square foot. for the total su~ of $2937.50 T~ken under consideration. The American Building ~aintenance Co., of San Francisco submitted a proposal to clean all $1ass in the New City Hall, inside and out and to protect the same against loss, for the sum of 85.00. Moved by Trustee Hardy Seconded by Trustee Cunningham that the offer be accepted. Carried. Fouth City Lodge ~832, Z.0.0.N. offered a resolution requesting the Board of Trustees to use their official power to blot out "blind pig" and "bootl~g" liquor selling ~ the city. President Holston explained that an ordinance giving the police power ~0 semrch and p~0secute in such cases wa~ under preparation. A resolution was received from the chamber of commerce expressing its appreciation of the efforts of the~Board of ~rustees of the City in ~ringing about the successful conclusion of the South San Francisco Switching case. ~ccepted and filed. Staid bonds are fully described in a resolution of slid Board of Trustees entitled "f~n order providi for the issuance of street improvement bonds,prescribing the denominations of such bonds ~'nd interest coupons attached",# 39, passed and adopted on the 4th day of October, 19~0, to which refer is hereby made.
