The meeting was called to order by Trustee G.i.!olaton, !~resident of the Board,at eight o'cl
ROLL CALL.
Roll ,all found all Trustees present, to-~it;-
F.Z.bunningham, A.~.kschelbach,L.G.Hardy Jr., H.Scampini, G.W.Holston.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Escnelbach seaonded
by Trustee Cunningham and regu'~lariy carried were approved.
Henry W.Oosta made application for the position of truck driver i~: the fire department. Appl
placed on file.
The ~.!anufacturers Association wrote making in~iiry concerning the completion of the unfinish,
sewers. The Clerk was instructed to reply ~.ating that the matter would be taken up ~s soon as went
conditions permitted.
The Union 0il Co. replied to the clerk's letter of the £2nd inst. asking for bids to furni.,
fuel oil for tee City Hall for one year. The letter st~te~ they were not closing fuel oil contract.,
~:t the present time,, but would be pleased to supply the City on an open market basis of the present
prices for the sum of $3.51 per barrel of 42 gallons, im 30-barrel truck loads. Accepted and filed,
A communication was received from the Western Meat Company regarding the repairing of Pine
Avenue between Pi. vision St ahd San Bruno Road,left in bad condition by the So. S.F.Viater Co. The co~,
$..sked for more time on account of contemplated improvements in their water main in that street. Gra~
G.Venturi ~,sked permission to Stucco the South and West sides of his barn on lot 1,block 14(
Cypress Avenue near Baden :.venue, and also to construct a brick building 20x50 ft in dimensions on
the ~outh side of eame. Roved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Scam~ini that permission be
granted. Carried.
An application was receive5 from Louis Nieri, for the position of truck driver in the fire
department. Accepted an5 the matter laid over for future consideration.
Adolph Bar~d~t mode application for a soft drink license for the store ~g!8 Grand £venue.
On motion of Trustee Ounningham seconded by ~ru~ee ~,.scnelbach tim app!i~tioan was granted,
;~m. J.i~F]and made a request for the refund of ~10.08, taxes paid by him, on aecount of s~ld~
exemotion. ~ranted.
Mayor ~t,~n ~mith and Fire Commissioner Kennedy of Daly Czty appeared before the Board and
offered to buF the old South ~an ~'rtncisco fire bell. ,.fret discussion it was decided not to sell t)
..bell, but Trustee 2ardy moved that it be loaned l o Da!y City for the period of one year, or less·
The motion was seconded by Trustee Scam!,ini ~nd rej,a!ar!y carried.
f~ com:mlnication was received from the t:aci~ic Fire Extinguisher Co. ~skimg the ~ty's enSors~
of their fire apparatus. ~[oved by Trustee Escne!bach that the Cit~,'s endorsement be given. The mot~,
seconded by Trustee ~iardy and regu!a, rly carried.
~' Inspector ~churk reported that the Gamewel] Fire Alarm Telegraph Co !~ad not not com~pleted
~ork, according to contract. The work "~% -.-~?
