The meeting was called to order By Trustee G.W.HolstOn, President of the Board, a
eight o'clock, p.m.

Roll call found all Trustees present, to-wit;-

The minutes of the previous meetilg were read and upon motion of Trustee Cuaningh~
seconded by Trustee Hardy and regularly carried were approved.
A communication was received from ~he Pacific Coast Steel Co. asking for a postpol
of the work of grading Imdustrial Way for a period of six months or more, on account of the general~
depression at the present time. The matter was laid over till the next meeting.
Acknowledgement was received from the Gamewell Fire-alarm Telegraph Company of th~
receipt by them of the City's check for $10237.00 in full payment for the fire-alarm system installe~
by them. Ordered filed.
A copy of a resolution passed by the San Mates Coumty Federation of Women's Clubs
recommendilg the prohibition of boxing exhibitions was received,read and ordered placed on file.
A check for $623.&2 ia favor of the City was received from the Market St. Railway
Company, being'a pwrcentage of gross receipts of the Bouth San Francisco Railroad snd Power Co. for
year ended April 21, 1921, as per franchise agreement. Accepted and ordered placed in the general f~
A communication from Wm.F.Herrin,~Chief Counsel for the Southern Pacific Co. was
asking what action the Board took in the matter of theirrprotest against the construction og Industr:
Way. The City Clerk stated he had amswered the inquiry upon the receipt of the same.
Am application for the position of Poundmaster was received from Louis E.Ringue.
Upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach seconded by Tzustee Hardy and Regularly carried Mr. Ringue was app.
to the position. Application for soft drink license of Vincells&AmBrose 90 Grand Ave.laid over one w~
The application of V,B.Nicolletti of San ~rancisco for~,a, soft~drink license for the store 228
was reported on unfavorably by the Marshal and rejected by th~ Board. Ail applications for renewals

Six lights were reported out for the previous ten days in Peck's subdivision. The
clerk was instructed to communicate directly with the Pacific gas and Blectric Co. at Redwood City,
requesting the company to replace the damaged lamps.
Mr. Newman of the National Surety Co Of New York appeared before the Board with a
pr~osition to bond the city against forged check~. He was authorize~ to write a bond for the sum of
~505~0 for a per~od of three years.

Notice is hereby giwen that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, smd bear intere~

of said alleys, notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner and form requ~

D.m., in the Chamber of said Board of Trustees of the City of South San FranciscO, any and all pe~s(
having any objections to the proposed work and improvement may appear before said Board of Trustees
and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this reso~
Except as herein provided, all of the herein proposed work shall be done in purs~nce of ~
act of the Legislature of the State of California designated ~s the "Improvement Act of 1911",~ppro~

Notice is hereby giwen that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, end bear inter
