The meeting was called to order ~t eight o'clock p.~. by Trustee G.b.~o!ston, President
of tLe Board.

The minutes of the ~reviou~ meeting were read and upon motion of ~rustee ~sche]bach
seconded by Trustee Scam~ini and regularly carried were approved.
A communication was received from the mdwards Wire Company askin~ information concern-
ing the extent of territory taken in by the
~iving details of the ezpenditures of tke amount of tLe issue and the intention of tLe ~oard in regard
to the unsewered portion.
Bernard Mcuaffrey Post ~85, American Legion, m~de application for permission to hold a
dence at ~'ratern~l mall ~aturdsy evening ~'ebruary 25th next. Permit ~r~hted.
The 2curb San ~'rancisco D!erchsnts As~ocistion addressed s communication to the Board
calling attention to the new pronosed lighting system, and ~sking that action be taken in the immediete
future. Th9 cl~rk was instructed to reply stating th&t the various committeos ~ppointed to investigate
hsd not ye% maae
A communication wes received from District attorney ~r~nk]in Swart stating that
organization o$ officers of San meteo county had been formed for the purpose of o~erating in conjunction
in the matter of reporting felonies and serious accidents within the county limits, for the protection
of the public ~nd the prosecution of the guilty. %he ~ity M~rshs] was empowered ~o procure b]snks ~nd
othe~vise ~ssist in the new work.
Y~n offer was received from the Western Send and i~ock ~ompany to pey ten cents ~ cubic
yard for exclusive rermission to renove sand from ixeilroad Lvenue, %he royalty to be psid to the uity
semi-annually, on motion of Trustee ~schelbach ~econded by 'zrustee Sc~mpini ~nd re~larly carrS ed the
offer was acce~ted end permission granted.
l~cAorie & McLsren oompany submitted & list of n~mes of trees to be planted in different
sections of the uity, together with the prices of !he same. The matter was referred to the ~urchasing
comnittee with ~ower to negotiate for the vurchsse of a limited nunber.
Applications for ~oo~ room licenses were received from Silas ~arlson and Angelo ~enovesi.
Heferred to the uity A~arsh~! for ]nve~tigation.
;.ttention was called to the Doard that the diavhone horn in the *ity ha]l is still
workin~ imperfect]y, tLe sound becoming weaker with each whistle. The ulerk was instructed to write to
the Gemewell fire-zl'erm ~zelegr~-~i~ uorapsn~ ~nd request that they vlace the horn in v, orkin~ order, ~s per
agreement.
School 'irustee ~mrry czvessa 6pveared before the ~oard and stated that the new
~]~'.3.~,iartin schoc] w~s completed ~nd ready for occupancy, but that tLere is no sidewalk or street open
from any ~ublic tuorou~hfere ~s far ~s the ~choo] house, and until there is children could not begin to
attend. '~he ~oerd decided to ':nstruct the clerk to write the ~outh Sen :'rancisco Lend and improvement
~ompany ~nd re~,uest that they dedicate the required ~mount of street and sidewalk sr~&ce for entrance to
the new school.
