The meeting was called to order at 7.30 o'clock p.m. by Trustee G.W.Holston,,President o: the Board. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following Trustees present, to-wit;- F,A.Cunningham, L.G.Hardy Jr.,G.W.Holdton. Trustees Scampini and Eechelbach appeared. after roll call. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Cunningham seco~ by Trustee Hardy and regularly carried were approved as read. Trustee Hardy was excused from attenda~ after the reading of the minutes. A communication was received from ~7~s. Carrie E.Winterhalter asking that the City purcha~ ~a flag for the City Hall. The clerk was instructed to answer the communication stating that the city .had the subject in mind pending the grading of the civic center site, as it was not advisable to pla, the flag on the City Hall Building. Mrs Winterhalter slso called attention of the City authorities to the old wooden poles o: Earket Street Railway ~ompany amd asked that action be begun to have the same replaced bY ornamental ones to conform with the proposed Marbe~ite eleotroliers of the new lighting system. The Clerk ~'~was instructed to communicate with the ~arket Street Railway Company and state that the Board of Trustee~ desires that the ol~ poles of the company be replaced by something more attractive to compare better with the new proposed lighting system about ~o be installed in the city. A petition was received from a n~mber of residents of the High School Park District requ~ that lights be placedat the co~ner of Lux Avenue and Pine Terrace and at or near the corner of S~ruc~ Avenue and Park ~ay. Referred to the Street Committee. ,The application of C.Pardini, #100 Grand Avenue, for a soft drink license, which was lai, over from the previous n~seting was read. Mr.~Pardi~i~appea~ed in person, and on question s'tated that had a partner named Alphonse Ferrari. He was requested to add the name of his partner to the applica' The application was then granted, together with those of C.T.Connolly, £~? The motion was seconded by Trustee Cunningham and.regularly.carried. City Treasurer Kauffman reported a shortage of ~147.o5 in ~i ~tree'~ ~'und "A" and ~99.52 in Street Fund "F" and asked for the use of these amounts from the General fund. On motion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Scampini the request was granted.'
